  There been quite a bit of backlash over the recent Ghostbusters trailer with people saying it looks shit and I kind of have to agree. People are upset that it's mainly an all female cast and that the old actors from the original movie have not been asked to cameo. It's been getting slated online so it will be interesting to see if anyone actually goes to watch this.

  My inititial thought's have not altered, it still look's awful(like an unwanted guest at a party.)
  And are they really doing the cheap race comedy thing again? Urrgh!!

  I agree, it looks naff.
  
  Going all female with no link to the original cast was a big mistake.   Right along with making the over 6 foot, built like a brick wall guy as a bit of a wimpy, geeky, awkward receptionist who goes all beef cake and evil.  Guessing that from the bits in the trailer.
  
  
  Not going to watch it.  A movie that I might watch in several years when it finally hits somewhere like Film 4 and then, only if there's nothing else on and I can't be bothered watching a DVD.

  I agree with you on that one. Wasn't one of the plans to have the "old guard" hand over the keys to a new, younger, set of Ghostbusters?
  
  That start would have worked as well as showing continuity between the original films and this new one.

  I'd heard that a couple of the original Ghostbusters were meant to be making cameo appearances in this, was said to be Winston & Ray, I think, guess that never happened
  
  Having a handover to the 'new breed' would have worked, really hate how they remake film with no link to the past

  I remember watching the Ghostbusters cartoon when I was a kid, in that I remember Slimer effectiely became the Ghostbusters pet/tame ghost
  
  Can remember him being in the original films, but I don't think he really appeared that much, nor became said pet?

  They've released the International trailer for Ghostbusters and I'm still not convinced. It just looks like Scooby Doo to me. Sorry Melissa McCarthy, I love you but this just looks gash!

  The best thing about that is the Godzilla style announcement by the guy shouting "Ghoster-Busters".

  Urgh, id honestly forgotten about this and then clocked earlier that the new ghostbusters were meant to be on Graham Norton this evening. Surely it cant be almost time for this to be released. Having seen all the trailers (again, out of curiosity) im still hating the direction the new film / reboot / reimaging / whatever...is going in. Squarely gonna be online download territory only when available, watching over sunday lunch or something so i dont have to give it my full attention.
