  An Israeli company called StoreDot has developed a battery that only takes 30 seconds to fully charge from a battery that's completely run out.
  
  
  
  It's all done via BIOLOGY! The science of living things! So now you can go "Oh no! My battery is dead. I better charge it." So you put it on to charge "Oh wow there we go fully charged AW YEAH!"
  
  Imagine the possibilities! You won't have to wait ages to be able to use your phone again.

  Pretty cool stuff but the cost of the tech will drive up the price of tech that will se that type of battery. But suppose the trade off will be worth it to most tech savoury peeps.

  The best part of this is if the battery icon only goes up quickly, but in actual fact that its not even charged within that 30 second period. I've had a similar thing happen to my iphone, it charged really quickly for some reason and then when i took it off and didnt even touch it for half an hour, it already dropped from full to 20% thats probably what they will do.

  It could help with forever dying battery or it could just be out to rip you off and seal your money while locking you with the piece of shit which was suppose to fully charge your battery in 30 seconds. Or it could be that it is true that the battery takes only 20 seconds to charge but has a shit battery life of only 5 minutes haha that would be so funny

  It's most probably so that you are forced to take your charger everywhere with you... Thereby increasing the chance of you losing it, thereby increasing the sales of phone chargers. ;) hehe!

  My first thought exactly. Without looking it up I don't know of course, but a batter that can be charged in 30 seconds using normal methods would suggest to me it would die in an equivalent amount of time. For the sake of an example: Normal phone = 1 hour to charge, 10 hours of standby power / This phone = 30 seconds to charge, 3 and a half minutes of standby power
