  Wow hasn't the debutante Agar played well, it's certain he won't be at number 11 for the next test... He's helped take a 100 run deficit to a first innings lead with Philip Hughes, hitting some glorious shots and clearing the boundary on several occasions. They've even played the extra half hour before taking lunch and he's still there on 69 from 68 balls and Hughes on 63, giving the Aussies a lead of 14 so far. England will be very disappointed, they did have a stumping chance turned down, that was very close indeed, but they should have had this wrapped up by now. 229 for 9.
  
  But well played Agar, he's broken the records, the first #11 to score a 50 on debut, the highest score by an Aussie #11, well done that man

  Gutted for the lad he didnt get the Century but well played. I'm hoping his boiwling isnt up to his batting
  
  our batters looking scared shitless at the moment, this is going to be seriously hard work to get a win here

  You're right there chub, he was mightily unlucky to fall 2 runs short, but he and Hughes have given Australia a huge boost, from 117 for 9 to 280 all out ain't bad at all.
  
  And with those 2 quick England wickets going just before tea, I was starting to think, here we go again, another collapse, but Cook and Pietersen have settled a bit now, so let's hope they both make centuries, and banish those first test jitters.
  
  I suppose all the pressure will be on England as since the Aussie are the underdogs, less external pressure for them, but England seem to be taking it too much to heart, relax boys and play your natural game... The one where you win lol...

  Yep, the first test nerves are well and truely with the England camp. after a really shakey start to the second innings, 80-2 isnt all that bad really
  
  Tomorrow is supposed to be another hot sunny day, so should be perfect for the batters to just relax and take their time to get a nice score

  Another hot beautiful day at Trent Bridge and a steady start for an hour by Pietersen and Cook this morning sees KP get his 50, and then the 100 partnership comes up, but on the stroke of midday KP has a lazy looking drive and Pattinson rips out his middle stump after a inside edge...
  
  A good knock for 64 but he and others would have hoped for so much more. Maybe the incoming Ian Bell can put up a good score. Ten minutes later and Cook also gets his 50, then he too falls to a diving catch by Clarke and giving a first test wicket to young Agar.
  
  What do they say, look at your score, then add 2 more wickets, then how does it look??? Bairstow walks in, and he and Bell now need to steady things, or at the very least see it out to lunch.
  
  LUNCH - England 157 for 4 which is a lead of 92 , Bairstow 13 and Bell 20
  
  Again both teams will be happy with this mornings play, the Aussies will be hoping for a quick wicket or 2 straight after lunch, that would see bum's start to clench in the England camp, but all England need to do is take it easy, this is only day 3, plenty of time left yet...

  TEA - 230 for 6 and a lead of 165.
  
  Ian Bell has been solid for his 56, he really now needs to go on for a big one. Bairstow became wicket #2 for Agar, out for 15 as he edges one to Haddin. Prior makes 31 before he then falls to Siddle, with an ugly pull shot that Cowan takes at midwicket.
  
  The Aussies will be hoping to get stuck into the tail this evening, and if they do, this will be a tight one, but if England can get another 100 or so then that's a lead they will look to defend, get a lead of 300 and I can't see the Aussies doing it.. but who knows what that chap Agar will produce in the second innings?

  I think if we get a 300+ lead we will win. Bat till lunch tomorrow then have 1 and a half day to bowl them out.
  Swan and jimmy on a day 4/5 pitch will have any team in trouble.

  I wasnt able to watch until they came out after tea and happy with whats happened today. As long as Bells at the crease we can hit 300 lead and that gives us a great chance of getting the win.
  
  Bumble said that Swann will be unplayable on this pitch, and he is never wrong :D

  Bumble ought to get a knighthood, Sir David Lloyd, the guy is a national treasure...
  
  So the day ends at 326 for 6 and a lead of 261, with Bell in the nervous 90s on 95 and Broad on 47.
  
  The session was not without controversy though, Broad blatantly edges a ball from Agar, that after flicking the keeper's gloves is caught at slip. Broad doesn't walk, the umpire says not out, and the Aussies are fuming!!! but without any more reviews, they have to get on with the game, I guess this will tomorrows talking point in the papers....
  
  You've got to favour England now for this, even they can't possible throw it away now can they???

  Broad was right to stand his ground, if the Umpire dosent spot that then he needs to be sacked to be honest. Its 1-1 for controversy with the Trott overall by the Third umpire
  
  And Sir David Lloyd has a nice ring to it, i bloody love that man
  
  England in control, thanks to Bell and Broad taken their time and playing sensible shots. I got no work this weekend so can watch every ball!!!!!! :D
