Not sure what the UK equivalents to Mustang, Corvette and Jeep guy are, and it doesn't seem like the 80s Volvo and BMW hipster movement has properly happened over here yet either. Though that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Maybe these people just don't exist over here any more?  30 years ago there'd have been MG Metro guy, thinking he was quick but really wasn't; or Austin Maestro chap, who definitely hated life.  The British brands that remain are actually decent, and it's becoming harder and harder to make questionable choices.  Owning a Jag used to be an act of masochism, now it's as sensible as buying an Audi. Basically, shit got boring.
