I believe that the accusations against BabeStation girls in general were brought up here a few years ago and have been repeated on occasions but not for a while now. My understanding is that the information came directly from the mouths of the Thai girls themselves to one of their customers and coincided with a crackdown on nudity that was becoming more prevalent on the show. The popularity of their channel seemed to be gathering strength and business was brisk. Pervcam was 10 credits per minute and not sure but calls may have been the same rate. BS rates were as now. However, a series of circuit breakers were put on the show which seemed deliberate to reduce the popularity of the show with the alleged jealousy given as a reason.
First prices were matched despite the fact that costs in the UK were sky high compared to the local costs of the shows in Thailand. Global market forces should have meant that Thai shows were much cheaper to watch but clearly there was some interference with this to 'fix' prices. Secondly, despite being a web only show, they were forbidden to show any nudity before 10pm and even then topless was all that was allowed and even then only for a caller, despite BS girls often being naked at that time. Thirdly, even when they went on TV, it was only a background filler to the regular BS girls, so Thai channel was only allowed on TV screens between 4am and 10pm when topless was only allowed for 1 hour up to 5am. This removed any competition to the UK girls during the peak viewing hours of the night shows. Then they had their microphone removed so they could not even talk to potential customers. Their equipment has been left to deteriorate so even their phones are held together by Sellotape and pervcam works only occasionally, but virtually never for me in my personal experience. So they have been gagged and censored in the past and not given a level playing field to compete fairly with the rest of the competition.
That is why the information given by one (or more?) of the Thai girls of UK jealousy made sense of the crazy decisions that seemed to continually haunt the channel which seemed aligned to destroying or hindering the channel rather than help it be successful. The recent sacking of all the girls and closure of the channel seems just another step along that same path. Amy resurrected the channel by paying the girls to come in to work one by one although two still remain out of work, i.e. Ice and Minny. This has made me wonder whether getting rid of natural females like Minny, Valentine and Maya and replacing them with ladyboys is also a conscious strategy to reduce the channels appeal to girl lovers who may be tempted to stray away from the UK girls. Influencing people's opinion to now think that it is just a channel for ladyboy lovers will be the end result that they desire and by taking them off TV completely 2 weeks ago, it will allow people to forget that they even exist, so removing the perceived threat to the core UK business completely. Job done in their eyes.
