  Although talk of a rift and tension between Ali and Amy is pure conjecture, it is rather telling I think to see how rarely they work together these days. Amy seems to work with almost every other girl bar Ali now. I doubt that this is coincidence seeing as Amy is in charge of setting the rotas.
  
  It is also rather telling to see how some girls never work the late shift any more, which must give Amy quite a headache sorting out the rota with a diminishing pool of girls, if some old hands refuse to work what is the night shift for them. Ali and Nadia spring to mind in this respect.
  
  As the shift manager, this affects Amy personally and may affect her relationship with these girls.

  On the face of it, the special treatment currently handed out to Thai Chat, all of it negative, is very hard to understand. However, that is because we do not understand the complexities of the business situation. We are always trying to guess at it but usually fall wide of the mark I suspect.
  
  The staff on here seem to know just what is going on, but also seem to regard their inside knowledge as business sensitive information that they have no intention of divulging. Instead, they just content themselves with making fun at what they see as our hopeless attempts to make sense of the bizarre decisions made about the channel.

  I think I may now have a theory which could explain the strange decisions that are made  about the channel, which to us appear to male no sense.
  
  I no longer think that Babestation own Thai Chat. I think the channel has changed hands over the years but is still owned and managed locally. However, I think that Babestation lease lots of channels from Sky and then sub-lease them out to other parties including Thai Chat, whilst saving some for their own babe shows. I think that is why they have been connected to each other for quite a while but not in a close way.
  
  This also explains why when Babestation has an outage, Thai Chat goes off air too. It also would explain why Studio66, as well as Babestation and Thai Chat, all went off air together last year for 24 hours. It was rumoured that this was because Babestation had failed to pay their bill to Sky on time which seemed plausible.

  However, a year or two ago, I think Babestation entered into a special arrangement with Thai Chat, beyond what was there before. I think Thai Chat signed a contract with Babestation where the latter would take over responsibility for all technical aspects of the channel and its marketing.
  
  This was much needed,as previously the stream quality varied between OK and terrible on a daily basis. Sometimes the stream was down for days at a time and we all wondered if the company had gone bust and the shows had ended. I don't think the owner had the money to invest in new technical infrastructure and had the local expertise available to support it subsequently. So this seemed to be a really good decision on his part. So far so good.

  I think the problem lies in the fact that it was not just the local equipment that got upgraded as part of the new contract. I think Babestation in return got some level of management control over it too.
  
  Everything started to change on the channel, which was for the worse in my opinion, certainly from the viewers perspective. Bit by bit, these made Thai Chat seem more like a typical UK Babestation channel and more and more of its original character and charm was being lost.

  We all welcomed the fact that the stream picture quality and reliability improved dramatically, However, what was less welcome was the introduction of pervcam and the immediate negative effect this had on the shows. Both girls would often spend the entire show sat on the floor with only their heads showing, something labelled head-bobbing on the chat.
  
  Prices were a modest 10 credits per minute so even I did not mind pervcam at that point and spent lots of money on making the best of it. But then they increased the price overnight to match the price for UK girls at 30 credits per minute which caused outrage and lost many fans as a result.
  
  They also changed the background music from the rather charming local music they used to use to the totally inappropriate music used today, which seems to be old Babestation music they no longer use on the UK shows.

  The microphone was then also removed from the shows, after one of the girls was tricked into swearing on camera to please a caller who knew that it was accidentally still switched on and asked her to do so for a laugh. It is scandalous that they still have no microphone today, even though that was nearly 2 years ago.

  So Babestation can now make decisions which disadvantage Thai Chat when compared to the other channels which they own. This would make no sense if they owned all of Thai Chat but would make perfect sense if they only received a cut of the profits or possibly nothing at all.
  
  They charge a fee for the work they do which must be paid first before the channel owner is left with whatever remains to pay the local overheads such as the studio rental and the girls wages. As such, Babestation have a vested interest in keeping the channel running so they keep the regular income but not in promoting the channel or raising its profile in the UK, in case it starts to compete with its own channels and they end up losing money.
  
  This theory may not be correct but it does seem to explain most of the crazy decisions that we have seen in recent times, which up to now has seemed totally baffling and made no business sense whatsoever. If I am right then all those decisions made are actually perfectly understandable.

  kitty has been on, seemingly alone for about an hour now. and she is doing amazing work. the phone calls are apparently constant. she is happy, smiling and confident. i do not know if they have been told that they do not have to be soooo austere but she is going at it hot on the phones. if my lip reading is anything to go by. and those calls just keep on coming in.

  Kitty is a real favourite of mine. She has such a sunny disposition, and she is really nice to talk with. And wow what a beautiful face and outrageous body to match!
