  Watched the trailer and it looks so bad, like they decided that Salvation didn't quite ruin the series enough so here's the oap terminator. And the shameless recycling of famous lines is just cringeworthy, and I know films rarely rely on real physics but even by film logic that bit with the bus was totally ridiculous.

  I saw the Terminator Genysis (i think thats the spelling the powers that be are going for) trailer the other day. Gotta say, im a little scared of what harm this latest movie may (with emphasis on the may) do. he big draw here for me is Emilia Clarke (I love Game of Thrones and her in it). Beyond that, i dont know. It looks action packed enough but, then again, trailers. The new t1000 looks pretty cool though although best of luck when being compared to Robert Patricks t1000. Think there will only ever be one winner there with fans of the movie/s. That bus flip though, urgh, chessy as f**k.

  I don't think a reboot of Terminator will ever work in all honesty and for one reason - the cast. The original cast are just irreplaceable. The only casting in the post T2 movies i've liked is the dude who played Chekov in the new Star Trek as a young Kyle Reese. Apart from that it's been shite though Emilia Clarke has potential to be a decent Sarah Connor

  Well I started the thread to speculate before they changed the title to Genisys (hate that title, awful English). I like Emilia Clarke but don't think she can save this film, Arnie is past his prime and is clearly desperate to relive old glories (there is genuinely plans for a 'Twins' sequel too, called triplets with Eddie Murphy, wish I was joking), and i just cannot stand Jai Courtney, he is not a good actor and it's baffling that he keeps getting these big roles.
  
  And the biggest offense this film will make, it's going for a lower rating, so the film series about the killer robots won't actually be able to show gore or blood.

  I'm sure someone somewhere in film studio land can explain the logic behind the stupid fucking spelling.
  
  I'm sure Emilia Clarke will be ok (she had Lena Hedey to be able to ask for advice on how to do Sarah Connor well) but I just don't get it.

  Nah, you have gotta be joking Potato..12A..12 fu**ing A for a terminator film. Have already made my mind up. Bus flips, Jai talentless hack Courtney, that bland guy from Dawn of the planet of the apes and now a 12a certificate. Will check this out on dvd but theres no way im paying to see this at the cinema. I really dont get how Jai Courtney keeps getting these roles. The fact that he has been lined up for the suicide squad movie (along with Cara Delvinge lol) doesnt make me wanna rush out and see that when it comes out either (granted i like the idea of Jared Leto playing the joker though).

  Honestly I don't think the rating matters for a Terminator film.
  Yeah you need some deaths but no matter what age rating it gets - Terminator 1 or Terminator 2 this will not be.
  
  As an aside - no-one can be more annoying than Edward Furlong so unfortunately T2 is always slightly tarnished in my eyes.

  One of the (many) recurring criticisms of salvation was that it was toned down due to the rating, yet they've made the same mistake again. So many scenes in the first two would never have had the impact they had and been so memorable if they had to conform to a lower rating.
