I keep receiving texts advertising rampant.tv and would like them to stop.

I've replied with stop but i continue to receive them. Does anyone know how i can get them to stop?

in order to get help make sure to make your post as detailed as possible about your problem, also if you don't hear anything it may be worth contacting dVIOUS about your problem, although to be honest this seems to be the one problem quite a few people have had that rampant don't seem to do anything about.

from reading others problems it seems that they are getting charged even if they don't reply but rampant maintains they don't charge for txt's received but it might charge for sending the word "stop" which is stupid.

i recommend noting the numbers and trying to look up the marketing company sending them and getiing in contact with them directly.

well i messaged admins about this kind of stuff with text messages and such and basically you can stop them but only until you call the numbers again lol, so you can stop them being sent to like an old number or something, but as soon as you call again the txt messages start again

Ok, so how do i go about actually stopping them. I replied with "stop" yesterday but receiveed another one today.

as people seem to be ignoring the fact there's other threads on the subject that were open first i shall answer here, the ones that are actually from rampant should stop if you reply with stop and you'll get a message to tell you so, although as someone else mentioned they will start again the next time you call up rampant, which seems the wrong way round to me surely you should have to opt into receiving the txt's rather than having to constantly stop them.

however as both myself and others have mentioned without ever really getting any answer is that you do seem to also sometimes get txt's that will cost you 1.50 each time to receive or to reply to cant remember which even if what you reply with is "stop" rampant has said these aren't from them and yet i got them and the only place i have ever given my number too has been rampant. these did stop eventually but not sure if they finally accepted my replying stop to each one or if it's because i've not called for months.

i dunno i've given up on that stop feature, from now on when i get new numbers or call from different numbers etc, i just send messages to admins, because texting stop has never worked for me before. i say message admins and see what they can do

well that is what myself and at least one other have said to do, i just didn't specify capitals as legally it should make no difference. the law is that if they receive a message saying stop then they have to stop sending them. actually it's probably not a law but a regulation or something but you get what i mean.

and besides sending stop, STOP, stop all or STOP ALL didn't stop the ones i was getting that were costing me 1.50 each time i received one.

well you know what they are like,,any little thing to make a fast buck,,but it has worked for me cos i tryed the norm stop but it was a noo no,,it should NOT make any difference i know...

well as i said the regulations or whatever the correct term is actually state that if a company ignores you telling them to stop that they're actually fined pretty massive amounts.

so i recommend keep track of any numbers that txts which don't stop after your first stop, STOP whatever and getting in contact with the governing body and reporting them, as even if it says you have to send STOP and not stop there isn't a single person who would go "it's your own fault you only sent stop and not STOP" i mean i'm sure the people who run the things would say that but not the people from the governing body as regardless of what caps you use etc.. it's still perfectly clear what you're telling them to do

actually i'm fairly certain there must be some rule about how you have to agree to receive the texts in the first place and unless i'm blind of they were well hidden i don't ever remember reading and giving my concent anywhere for rampant or whoever this mysterious other company are to txt me. i mean i'm sure with rampant it's something along the lines of "by calling you agree to receive txts" but i don't actually remember ever seeing that anywhere
