  I think a surprising 1-0 home defeat to Stoke! Southampton really aren't nearly as good at home as they were last season, especially in defense. The strange thing is they have the best away defense in the Premier League and have yet to lose an away game? Stoke are known as a shit away team, which makes this result even more unexpected. I think it's about time Ronald Koeman takes a look at his teams home form this season and finds some solutions. This will ruin Southampton's ambitions of staying in the top ten in the Premier League this season if it continues.
  
  Finding solutions isn't always easy, I'm still trying to sort out my lack of real sex after countless poor seasons :)

  I didn't expect Southampton to win their away game against Man City this weekend. What was disappointing for me is that I predicted a 2-1 correct score and didn't win a penny! 3-1, that wasn't supposed to happen! I thought Southampton would have been more resilient! Their away record is still very good this season. I would expect them to drop more away points going forward though. They don't seem as good as last season, which is surprising since it's virtually the same squad of players with the same manager.
  
  I needed that correct score win to buy more credits, typical :)

  Any thoughts on what the heck is going on at Southampton this season Scotty? Or anybody else for that matter.

  Southampton 1-1 Aston Villa! I would have expected Southampton to win this game 2-0 or even 3-0. Their home form isn't nearly as good as it was last season. However, their away form is good, they've played seven and only lost one! They have the joint fourth best away defense in the league. Their home defense is about average, while their overall goal scoring home and away is about average too. So, based on their performances so far this season, it seems they'll finish between 8th and 12th. They're currently 12th.
  
  Their defense might be stronger if Ronald Koeman put his kit on and show them what's what! :)

  YEP The same as what is going on down with shit ol Chelsea,,the team believe all the hype they are getting and the Manager got to flash and complaicent ;)

  Well a month ago everything was looking rosy!  We've had a bit of a blip, but at seems as though everyone else is liable to experience the same this season.  And aside from our amazing start last year, this sort of patchy form is probably the rule rather than the exception.
  
  Having said all that, we're still only 2 points off 6th place.  Don't panic!

  Yea the table is just odd really.. as is the season so far. I mean look who is on top of the table and my point should be justified. Nobody wouldve expected one of last seasons lowest teams to be on top.
  Its just the quality of football at Soton compared to last season.. a bit dire :( Hopefully it gets better though. Come January your lot might lose a couple of other players though :P

  Crystal Palace 1-0 Southampton! Southampton had a very strong away record this season until recently. Now it's going south like their home record. What a shame. I thought Ronald Koeman did a great job last season. Now, with more or less the same players, they don't seem so defensively sound as last season. Looking at the stats, it's clear it's the defense that's the difference in form. As a neutral, I quite like Southampton, they've brought through some really good young players. I hope they don't go too far backwards. Maybe some new players in the January transfer window?
  
  Maybe Ronald Koeman should try ass kicking the players, it's worth a try :)

  Southampton 0-2 Tottenham! The losses are mounting for Southampton this season. Ronald Koeman is now being critical of his team in public and rightly so in my view! If this game was played last season, then a draw wouldn't have surprised me. That shows how Southampton have gone backwards and Spurs have improved. I think Ronald Koeman needs to really get stuck into those players who are under performing with a swift foot to their asses! They could easily tumble down the table if this shit continues! Pay per performance I say, you'd be amazed at the turnaround!
  
  I like the Southampton team, I don't like seeing these kind of results too often! Now, come fucking on! :)

  I think we need to actually go and spend a few quid. It's all good turning profits and telling everyone how fantastic the recruitment process is when things are going in the right direction, but it's getting to the point now where it looks like they've under-invested.
  
  Nothing a a £40m outlay on a new striker and number ten in the January sales shouldn't fix though ;)
