  If you include last season's midfield shield (and you should) then 3 of our back 7 have been sold.  And Forster's injured, AND Stekelenburg picked up a knock which meant we had Kelvin Davis in goal on Saturday.  Never good.
  
  But van Dilk looks a player and Cedric is a decent replacement for Clyne.  He's not quite as good defensively but offers more going forward.  And once Clasie's fit I imagine he'll be first choice to sit alongside Wanyama.  He's another who's not as defensive as the player he replaced (Schneiderlin) but is a touch more creative.  So yeah, defence isn't as good but hopefully we'll keep scoring a few more to make up for it.

  Something like £12m so he wasn't cheap.  Seems like a decent bit of business so far though.

  Might not have been cheap but if he turns out to be a fuckin mint defender then that 12 mil aint gonna sound like much in the end :P Who knows, Real or Barca might come along and try to grab him for a cool 30 mil in future ;)
  
  Yea i guess im happy... i mean we havent lost (in the league anyway) since that Man Utd game (lucky Man Utd). Just aint happy about the striking options and the fact Kane aint scoring :( So much for my 4 nil Liverpool prediction eh :P

  That shitty little team Bournemouth pretty much outplayed for a second Premier League game. Boohoo. Bournemouth - relegation fodder.
  Good job to Southampton for playing well and putting that small club in its place :) Although a second sending off in as many games.. big deal.
  Southampton going well for a top ten finish. Fully expect them to fight it out with Liverpool and Spurs for 5th place. Maybe West Ham might keep up their decent form and stay in the fight.

  I think Ronald Koeman has done a really good job at Southampton. Last season they had I think the second best defensive record in the Premier League. At the start of this season they looked a bit off form, but they seem to be playing now as they did last season and I really believe they'll finish in the top ten again this season. That's very good for a club of it's size. Don't forget, when Ronald Koeman took over how many of their top players were sold off to other clubs. They also seem to perform well home and away which aids their chances of a good points tally!

  Another win for Southampton today as they won away to Sunderland 0-1! Even though the only goal of the game was a penalty, I thought Southampton were clearly the better team and were playing more positive football. Again, Southampton keep a clean sheet. They really needed that tight defense last season to help them finish in the top ten of the Premier League. I can't see Southampton finishing higher than either this season, but I think that's still a very respectable position for them to end the season. Considering the players they have, they seem to get a lot out of them.
  
  I wish I could get more out of my cock, I'd have an even bigger smile on my cheeky face :)

  Wouldve fully expected Southampton to cane the shit out of Sunderland. Cant really say Sam Allardyce has made Sunderland a hard team to beat (yet).
  Anyway a decent result for Soton and long may it continue (just not against Spurs :P). Hopefully by the end of the season theyre in a European spot and we get to see them in European football :) THAT i would love Soton to finish higher than Spurs for ;)

  I think Southampton have good prospects. Last season they finished seventh in the Premier League with the second best defense in the league conceding only 33 goals in total. They had the second best home defense and the best away defense. Compare that to this season, they only have the sixth best defense overall. They still have the best away defense in the league and have yet to lose an away game, but their home defense has not been so good this season and is not much above average. Clearly they need to improve their home game if they want to climb higher in the table.
