Coogler teams up with Jordan again to bring us this period horror. Not much is revealed in the trailer but Jordan will be playing twin brothers alongside Steinfeld, Lindo and Mosaku in supporting roles.

Looks like it should be a good watch. Clay, did you check out the show, Poker Face by Rian Jonson? I did 2 episodes last night, great cast and lots of fun.

I've really enjoyed Coogler's previous films. Fruitvale Station for it's ability to dramatize such a heart-breaking real life event, Creed for it's ability to not only build upon, but also expand such an iconic franchise in a new and refreshing way - Stallone deserved a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his performance, Black Panther had an underlying intellectual depth that is rarely seen within the action-comedy genre and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was a monumental task to complete after the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman and it also elevated the character of Namor from the comics and gave him additional layers of complexity. So I'm hoping Sinners is just as good as his previous films, where they just do what it says on the tin in terms of just being entertaining, but also have a nice level of emotional depth were you care about the fates of the characters and the external forces they are trying to survive against or overcome.

Regarding Rian Johnson's Poker Face. Yeah, I've watched it and really loved it (https://forum.rampant.tv/t-poker-face-tv...poker+face). For some weird reason I only posted about the last two episodes on here and not the entirety of the season one. Anyway Lyonne is the type of actor that is impossible not to love, the way the series pays homage to classic TV shows like Columbo is beautiful and narrative structure feels slightly Tarantino-ish in the way that the audience and characters will know certain parts of the plot at various points through each episode but still be pleasantly surprised at at each twist and how the characters react to those reveals. Also the list of guest actors throughout the season are stellar.

Fruitvale Station has been on my radar for years and for some reason I’ve never gotten around to it. I’ll have to bump it up the list.

Thanks, I really appreciate so many of your recommendations on here for stuff like The Bear, Ready or Not, The Babysitter, Marcell the Shell with the shoes on, Thelma etc. Fruitvale Station is one of those types of films like Schindler's List that you watch once and love but find tough to watch again because it's so emotional.

The Rover was like that for me, fantastic movie, brilliantly acted but too much to go through twice.
