SCARY NEW APP LETS YOU SPY ON PEOPLES UNSECURE WEBCAMS
A Chinese news station have just reported that there is now a new app that allows users to access and browse through webcams whose default passwords haven’t been changed. Subscribers pay $28 for the app and can look into people’s bedrooms, living rooms, anywhere where there's a webcam set up. How fucked up is that?
It's pretty much just hundreds of thousands of hackable webcams that have shit or unchanged default passwords. Eugene Aseev, vice-president of engineering at data protection firm said: Quote:Once there is a weakness or vulnerability found in this firmware, all these devices [will] start to share this weakness or vulnerability. And this is why I put duct tape over all the cameras in my house. If you've not changed your password in a while guys, now is the time to do it. Follow me on Twitter: @ReedeFox |

This just further reinforces my belief that laptops should not come with inbuilt webcams, unless you specifically ask for one.
When any government or church for that matter, undertakes to say to its subjects, "This you may not read, this you must not know," the end result is tyranny and oppression, no matter how holy the motives.
