  Honestly I think this looks a bit crap. The original was great and this just looks like most remakes do like a cheap generic cash grab with all the best elements of the original either totally ripped out or overly sanatised. The fact that what was originally an 18 has become a 12 doesn't bode well for the film retaining any edge.
  And he is still basically just human by the looks of the trailers, since he doesn't die and it's basically a prosthetic suit.
  Bit of a rant but that's my view on it.

  The only decent recent remake, as far as i'm concerned is Dredd, the Total Recall remake was so far below average it was ridiculous

  Dredd technically wasn't a remake it was a new film based on the source material, but i agree it was a good film (still hoping it will get a sequel despite the fact it didn't do very well). I didn't mind the total recall remake (it was also based on a book but the film itself took most of it's cues from the arnie film so it was more remake than anything else), but it wasn't close to the original film.
  Robocop just looks totally pointless, very sanitised to try and appeal to as many age ranges as possible which takes away most of the appeal right away.
