  It's been reported today that Ricky Hatton will be making his comeback to the boxing ring after almost 3 years out on November 24.
  He said he still wants to fight for world titles.
  
  I'm not sure how I feel about this. I really liked Hatton as a boxer but after three years out and some major personal problems since his last fight, I'm not sure he will get close to his previous best.
  I'm sure they won't give him too challenging of a fighter for his comeback but I'm worried about Hatton in the long run. I hope I'm wrong though.
  
  What does everyone else think? Are you happy that he's back?

  It all depends why he is coming back, if he still has that deep burning passion and does his preparations well, then I wish him all the luck, however, if this is some gimmick or a chance to 'cash in' on something, then it's a bad idea. I just hope that those around him have his best interests at heart...

  I would hope he isn't but I reckon he's gonna e past it. It's always depressing seeing boxers that were good when they're too old and past it. I wish they would just refuise to give Roy Jones Jr a license, because a guy that was unstoppable on his day, best boxer in the world without a doubt is turning into a patsy.

  I do not see a problem with him returning. As long as he picks his opponents and trains correctly, then there should be no issues.

  The training is another issue in itself. It's long been known that Hatton would enjoy himself after a fight. He would drink, go out, eat junk and balloon up. So then he would have to do extra work to get himself into shape.
  If he can rid himself of those habits he will be all the better for it.
  I think he can be a success again big just not at the level he was at before.

  I've no idea why Rick Hatton would want to make any kind of comeback hes older fatter and more out of shape than ever and in reality he wasnt that great to begin with, he must really need the money.

  its a sad day for british boxing when this happens, fat, unhealthy and surely not skint! but who knows can he just not stick to game shows for an extra couple of quid?

  I think this is a really bad idea. I'm not sure what he wants to achieve. He can't think he has a chance against Mayweather or Pacquiao. I can only think it has to do with trying to get publicity for his promotions company, and if that is the case then thats definitely not a good reason to make a comeback.

  Oh yeah, there's not a chance he can beat the best at this point. He'd have to work hard just to be a middling boxer. I agree it's the promotion company thing or he's just done himself up with to much coke.

  "It's more than a comeback. I'm fighting to redeem myself." I guess life's fucked up in the outside world, and he's going back to the only place he feels comfortable.
