  Does anyone know if they are planning on releasing a sixth game?
  I really liked the fifth one and was hoping they would make another for ps3 soon, but there doesn't seem to be one planned.

  Yes, read something today on BBC that the next version is due for release of November this year. Also said that the new game would be more like earlier editions as RE5 was "too much action, not enough horror"

  Oh right november, cheers for the info mate, i hope they keep the aiming system from Resident Evil 5, i have no problem with going back to a more horror style but it would be nice if they still let you have the ability to aim.

  I've always thought that for the next Resident Evil game that the best way to do it would be having it in city setting similar to the first three, but returning to more of a horror style but keeping the aiming system from Resident Evil 4 and 5, and having a mixture of the slow zombies from the originals and the faster ones of later games and having more onscreen at one time so it really is a city full of zombies you are against.

  I saw an advert for this on friday night and got all excited - then saw it's scheduled for release in November - why the hell start advertising it now then???!!

  "Capcom has officially announced the development of Resident Evil 6.
  
  The game takes place 10 years after the events in Raccoon City and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what exactly took place in hopes of curbing the resurgence in bioterrorist activities.
  
  RE6′s lead protagonists will be none other than Leon S. Kennedy, who, as the trailer reveals, must decide on the President’s fate when he himself becomes infected, as well as Chris Redfield, which makes it the first Resident Evil game to include both characters, who each have their own perspectives.

  ya looking forward to it but its not like its gonna be any different just trying to survive from hordes of zombies and then someone will fuck up and a few people will die, and then they will find a place where they are safe

  That trailer makes it look good, looks like they have got a pretty good mix of the aiming/attacking and defensive elements of 4 and 5, but mixed with the original zombies and what looks like more of a survival horror tone, i'll be getting that when it's out.

  Bit tardy to the party, but yeah it's looking really good. Some of my favourite characters included. Good time to be a resi fan with revelations/operation racoon city and 6 all out this year.

  Also, it's kinda hard to tell just from the trailer, but it seems to me that they might be trying to split the gameplay styles, making leons part a bit more like the resident evil of old, chris' more like a modern run n gun resi and this new fella to be much like resi 5 with the co op aspect. If the stories are good and all the gameplay is solid that could be excellent.
