for a forum novice like myself, quoting and these quick replys, signature all this kinda stuff means fuck all to me, therefore all i can ever seem to contribute is text posts and stuff, does the lack of variety in my forum activity count against me?

well signatures and quick replys don't really have anything to do with anything, but as long as you don't post the same thing all over the place like certain people have done in the past i.e posting "i love this girl" in multiple threads, and as long as your posts relate to what the given thread is about and you don't just post nonsense/extend the length of your posts with rubbish just to get points, you shouldn't have any problems
