  in future please try and use the search feature before asking questions as that has been answered many times and their are in fact at least two threads that explain it all, they can be found here https://forum.rampant.tv/forumdisplay.php?fid=235
  either the forum announcement or important threads posts will both explain to you how it all works and if you still have questions that would be the place to ask and not in the thread about forum rules

  i have no idea what that has to do with the rules for avoiding being banned. in future please make sure you're actually posting in the correct thread

  for a forum novice like myself, quoting and these quick replys, signature all this kinda stuff means fuck all to me, therefore all i can ever seem to contribute is text posts and stuff, does the lack of variety in my forum activity count against me?

  well signatures and quick replys don't really have anything to do with anything, but as long as you don't post the same thing all over the place like certain people have done in the past i.e posting "i love this girl" in multiple threads, and as long as your posts relate to what the given thread is about and you don't just post nonsense/extend the length of your posts with rubbish just to get points, you shouldn't have any problems
