  Well after the much awaited announcement of the play station four. They only shown the control and didn't show the ps4 or the special features of it. What does everyone think of the controller. I think it looks awesome to be honest and I wanna get my hands on it

  I`m not keen on the controller myself, i would have rather they just had a new version of the dualshock without the touchscreen rubbish (Touchscreens are great on phones, but aren`t fast reacting enough for a fast paced console game).
  The specs are interesting, sounds like it will be powerful, worryingly they didn`t say for sure whether it will have the traditional disc slot, and talked a lot about streaming and downloading content (personally i like to have a physical copy of a game so if the console goes wrong you don`t lose all the games as well).
  It would be nice if they offered some sort of backwards compatibility as well, rather than just selling everyone the games again through the store and for me if the online isn`t free as with the PS3 then i`ll be very disappointed.

  new picture of the controller not fan either the old playstion controllers looked way better but still cant wait till the new console hope its not dissapointing

  i got too used to the xbox 360 controller that i dont think i would ever go back to playstation, there hasnt been a game that has made me want to go out and buy a PS3 at that.
  
  i still dont get the whole making announcement to make announcement of the actual console

  As a Sony play station man I can't wait till the PS4 comes out but was really disappointed about how at the press conference they talked for hours but didn't say anything on the ps4 well let's hope it's a surprise. I know they'll be many haters of the ps4 but as a company you can never ever beat or silence your critics

  im not sure on the name of the game but it was a shoot em up battle like game and looked amazing! the processing power is supposed to be a new class and it is dubbed as a high spec computer machine rather than jsut a console.
  
  Cant wait for ti to come out, i currently have an xbox 360 and havnt used the playstation properly since ps2 so i might switch and get the ps4 if it lives up to expectations. any idea when the new xbox is due out?

  I found the coverage irritating. Don't tell me that you're going to unveil the new console and then show me the control pad. I guess they showed games but they look like the typical release titles that any console gets before some real game developers get some contracts. I'm equally scared about how many of the games will insist on me being an online gamer. Call me old fashioned or just a complete fucking mizog but I like to play my games alone and as much as I'm sure these titles will be produced, the emphasis on getting me to converse with some fetus that was plugged into the bloody matrix upon birth and came out smack talking the doctor seems to be what is seen as the way forward in gaming. Why were these machines invented in the first place? So loners like me didn't have to feel shit that I had no friends to play Kerplunk with and my own mother wouldn't cry herself to sleep at night after watching me play a solo game of twister until I fell asleep with the plastic as a blanket. Yes it's anti social but most of the time it's a trouble for me to spend time with own friends let alone make instant enemies with someone across the globe, but there we have it! Maybe my software is just as outdated the PS3's will become. Now everyone friend me on facebook.

  i have to say i dont like the fact that its romoured we wont be able to play secondhand games or ps3 titles which i find stupid as i dont think ill be getting one ill stay on my ps3

  I think the future of gaming wiill focus more on downloading games and purchasing through the ps store, it saves costs etc but does screw up the retail shops etc.
  
  I agree with the earlier post about only showing tiny bits during the inveiling but its all part of the promotion i suppose. in their eyes, if they unveil it in drips and draps then it keeps the trending high rather than a sudden burst of enthusiasm then quietness.
  
  Im strongly thinking about switching from xbox to ps4 this time round as i used to have the ps2 and never had the original xbox but the graphics on the new ps4 look unbelieveable.

  See i think in that respect that they don`t actually have a finished look yet, it is very early and won`t be available for a while there probably is no final design for the case yet. Some of the games looked interesting though.
  I`m on the fence about multiplayer, i enjoy having it as a choice to play but lack of a mutliplayer/bad multiplayer has never been a dealbreaker for me getting rid of or not buying a game. Preferably a game has a solid single player campaign and a decent multiplayer for options.
