  My favourite show that got cancelled was Due South, just bought the complete box set of it (had to shop around a bit to get it for about £60), it was another that got dropped as soon as ratings dipped, but the good old BBC helped fund the final series. Would love to see this "rebooted" as the stories are great!

  was that the one with the mounty who had a deaf wolf, called something like defenbaker or however it was spelt? if so i used to like that, can't remember that much about it but i seem to remember it got a bit strange towards the end, didn't one of the main characters leave, or go blind, possibly both? i just have a vague memory of seeing one of the episodes towards the end of it's run and thinking "what the hell did i miss for all this to change"

  Yeah, that's the one. In the 3rd series the actor who played Ray (the Chicago cop) left so they bought in a new guy to play him under the story original Ray had gone deep under cover and new Ray had to fill in for him. Yeah it got a bit strange in the end but was still quality!

  yeah, i think that's one of the things that confused me at the time is why there was a completely different actor but everyone was acting like it was the same character.
  
  it probably would of made more sense to me if i'd been slightly older and had also seen all the episodes as i tended to just watch it when i noticed it was on as i think bbc tended to move the times it was on etc... plus back in the days before sky + etc... it was harder to catch every episode if it wasn't on at regular times or if they would sometimes put on more than one episode in a week etc...

  My personal favourite show that got cancelled was prison break. Now that was a real edge of the seat drama. Shame they had to end it sooner than their fans wanted it end.

  i don't remember that as being cancelled, i just remembering it ending. i might be wrong but i'm pretty sure everything was explained etc... and to be honest it had started to feel like they were dragging it out, they couldn't exactly keep on getting stuck in various prisons.

  prison break couldnt really go on for much longer, thoufght they did well to stretch it out for three seasons to be hionest. i liked the series and thought they ended it really well too by tying up all the losses ends etc. me fave cgharacter was bellick (spelling?) cos he was the archetyaple tough guy in authjority but in realisty a total coward. lol makes me chuckle just thinking about it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  yeah i agree with you about the ending. not sure if saw the special two hour episode where one of the main characters passed away. yeah i think that was his name my favourite was t-bag he was just a legendary character.

  it was called "life" and it aired on the fx channel over here i think, it was so good.
  
  it was a show about a policeman who was framed for a crime he didn't commit, spent 12 years basically being tortured in prison, then was found to be not guilty and was released with a massive amount of compensation. he then went back to the police force and tried to work out who framed him etc... it was soooo good!
  
  but the most annoying part was that while it did have episodic storys each week, it did also have a bigger story arc over the two series, and the reason that got bad is because it was cancelled after just two series, so not only did we never find out the answers to many things, but the second series also ended on a cliffhanger that will never be resolved!
  
  i really hated the fact it ended as i thought it was fantastic, and i would have recommended it to anyone except not anymore as i don't want them to have the thing of getting really into it, and then the massive let down after series 2

  
  I remember life(starring Damien Lewis) he was trying to find out who on the police force had framed him.I saw it on one of the ITV channels and didn't know it had been cancelled, by the end of series two he had begun to find out who had framed him and why.

  Channel 4 are starting Damien Lewis's new show this weekend. It's called Homeland. I've seen the first series and it is one of the best new shows in years. Not sure which night it is on, but would fully recommend it.
