  well there will still be Alpha's on air, which i'm pretty certain counts as sci fi, even if i know you don't personally watch it.
  
  maybe the best way to look at the lack of sci fi shows is that maybe the channel that shall not be named lol, plans to only have so many at a time so maybe with eureka going it'll mean we'll get a new one? although i doubt it tbh.
  
  i do agree that firefly is without doubt the one very obvious "should not have been cancelled" programme, as it was really good, only got given one series and they didn't get told early so thay had no chance to round up storylines etc... like eureka and fringe are getting.
  
  as for life, i'd actually say it is worth watching, just as i thought it was a really cool programme but it does suck pretty hard the way it ends or rather the way it stops and doesn't end.

  Yeah, Angel was a superb series in its own right. In fact, by the end it had super-ceded its mother series.
  
  Anyway, I nominate Bakersfield PD. It was a quaint U.S. half-hour comedy from the early 90s. A comedy-drama rather than a studio-based sitcom without the dreaded laughter track. A well-written comedy that only last one series, before being brutally axed.

  Where to start. Thinking of long ago cancelled shows, Buffy and Angel spring to mind. So unfair how they were left. Both shows could have carried on for longer. Gimme, Gimme, Gimme is another. I absolultly loved ths show. Another that springs to mind is Ultimate Force. Another superb show that me and my family watched religiously. More recent wrongfully cancelled shows incude The Inbetweeners and Almost Human (with Karl Urban).
