well there will still be Alpha's on air, which i'm pretty certain counts as sci fi, even if i know you don't personally watch it.
maybe the best way to look at the lack of sci fi shows is that maybe the channel that shall not be named lol, plans to only have so many at a time so maybe with eureka going it'll mean we'll get a new one? although i doubt it tbh.
i do agree that firefly is without doubt the one very obvious "should not have been cancelled" programme, as it was really good, only got given one series and they didn't get told early so thay had no chance to round up storylines etc... like eureka and fringe are getting.
as for life, i'd actually say it is worth watching, just as i thought it was a really cool programme but it does suck pretty hard the way it ends or rather the way it stops and doesn't end.
