West Ham v West Brom 12:45
Big ol’ game this, especially for the Hammers. They’re aren’t too many more winnable games than West Brom at home and if they fail to get a result it could be the dole queue for Sam Allardyce. They are favourites, but 11/8 is hardly a ringing endorsement. As ever it comes down to goals and you could do worse than backing them to score 0 at 23/10. Vydra got one for West Brom on Boxing Day so he might be worth a look in the first goal markets at 9/1.
Prediction: 1-1 (11/2)
Aston Villa v Swansea
Villa aren’t having the best of times either, and if Palace can go there and win there’s no reason why Swansea won’t do the same. Saying that, the away side are actually 13/8 favourites here, which does seem a bit of a stretch. Liking the look of less than 1.5 match goals at 9/4 but it’s generally a tough one to call. Copping out again…
Prediction: 0-0 (17/2)
Hull v Fulham
Man Utd just put 3 past them, but Fulham aren’t United, and prior to that game Hull had only shipped 3 goals at home all season. They’re 7/5 to keep a clean sheet here and I reckon they will, odds are a bit stingy though. Less than 1.5 match goals at 19/10 is probably the better option. Scorers? No idea.
Prediction: 1-0 (11/2)
Man City v Crystal Palace
As well as Palace are playing right now this could be brutal. 5.5+ match goals at 4/1 is well worth a go and given his form at the moment, 13/8 on Alvaro Negredo scoring 2 or more is tempting too. For all the fun City are having in front of goal though, the defence is still a concern. BTTS is 5/4 but you may as well couple that with the home win and have 9/5.
Prediction: 5-1 (22/1)
Norwich v Man Utd
Probably United, but they nearly didn’t beat Hull. And do they look like the sort of side capable winning 6 in a row? Sort of tempted by the draw at 16/5, but the away win and BTTS is probably the safer bet. Gary Hooper’s home form is pretty tasty at the minute so have a think about him scoring any time at 16/5. Beyond that, Rooney obviously, and he’s 7/2 to get the first one.
Prediction: 1-2 (7/1)
Cardiff v Sunderland 17:30
Could be a hostile atmosphere for this one after Malky Mackay’s sacking. Cardiff weren’t really in it against Southampton while Sunderland will be boosted by their win over Everton. It’s all pointing towards the away side getting something. 12/5 for the win is tempting, as is the draw at 23/10. Hard to say who’ll score though.
Prediction: 1-1 (11/2)
