Police discover a drug tunnel between Mexico and a KFC in Arizona
Very much a former KFC we're looking at here, and it appears to have been shut for quite a while.  It's also unclear when exactly the tunnel was built.  Let's put these details to one side though, and proceed with an unshakeable conviction that the enterprise was wholly inspired by Gus Fring's Los Pollos-based shenanigans in Breaking Bad.  Anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar, a purveyor of fake news.

So Ivan Lopez, the owner of the restaurant (and tunnel) was pulled over last week for a seemingly routine traffic stop.  One thing led to another, and before long police dogs had sniffed out more than $1m worth of illegal narcotics hidden in his vehicle.  Understandably keen to further explore yer man's 'business interests', the authorities had a look around his business premises...

And here it is!

600ft long, 22ft underground and straight across the border between the United States and Mexico.

Internally, the 3x5ft space provides ample room to shift industrial quantities of gear.

And for all you chicken fans, here's an ariel shot of the former restaurant.

The colonel is no doubt spinning in his grave.

Gus, however, wholeheartedly approves.

You think you man Ivan here thought he was hiding in plain sight?
