  It was such a success (he'd probably still be there otherwise) that a group of fans calling themselves United Reel have launched a website, a hashtag - #BringRonaldoHome - and spent £2,750 on a plane to fly over the Bernabeu during Real Madrid's game against Villarreal this Saturday.
  
  
  
  Now if the #BringRonaldoHome bit sounds familiar, that's because the same hashtag was used by a crowdfunding campaign last summer which urged supporters to 'buy Ronaldo's shirt', with the cash raised going towards his transfer fee.
  
  They even did some (well cringeworthy) videos and put them on YouTube...
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  Though the campaign ran out of steam amid confusion over what'd happen to the money in the highly unlikely event he didn't in fact 'come home'.
  
  While the current effort thankfully avoids exploiting gullible idiots on such a large scale, founder Oli Grandidge has still got some pretty big ideas: ‘We have active supporters on every continent of the world and we are all united by our love for Cristiano both as a football player and as a person.
  
  ‘We won’t stop until we bring Ronaldo home.
  
  ‘Members from all over the world have donated their own money and resources to fund a mid game message, flown by plane, in a bid to demonstrate to Cristiano Ronaldo how much the United faithful still love and support him.’
  
  Right. All a bit much really, innit?

  There were similar cries for Fabregas to come "home" to Arsenal goons. Typical Londoners, eh?

  Sadly think that any talk of Ronaldo going back to MU is looking less likely . Mr R throws a strop and gives out hints in the media every time his contract is coming close for either renewal or drifting in to its last two years .

  Ronaldo signed a new deal like, last season. And he isn't stropping, the reason why the Ronaldo coming back stories have appeared again is because he's been questioning the actions of Perez - most notably selling di Maria but he's also spoken out about the sales of Alonso & Ozil and also questioned why Perez didn't go all out to sign Falcao. He also said he'd like to come back to us one day which whilst isn't anything new (he's said that a few times before) it has extra weight considering his frustration with Perez.
  
  I think it'll happen one day. It's impossible to say exactly when though, maybe after he's broken Raul's record

  I can't see this happening, nothing more than media hyping it up. Even if it does happen it won't be for another couple of seasons, by that time in sure he'll be on the decline, but still demanding huge wages. I believe by this time his second PL spell won't live up to his previous stint and even that has nothing on what he's done in Spain!
