  SATURDAY
  
  Aston Villa v Newcastle 12:45
  Tough one to call, this. Villa got a good win at Stoke last weekend, but then again Newcastle only shipped 2 against City. Still, can't argue with odds of 8/5 for the home win so it'll probably have to be that. Keep well clear of the handicaps but under 1.5 match goals is worth a look at 9/4, as is the same price on Andy Weimann in the any times.
  Prediction: 1-0 (13/2)
  
  Chelsea v Leicester
  Home win obviously, but if like me you're of the opinion that Chelsea won't absolutely destroy them, decent value is hard to come by. Don't fancy anything longer than the -1 really, but 3/5 isn't much of an incentive there. Best I can find is under 2.5 goals at 11/8, or 3/1 Diego Costa scoring first.
  Prediction: 2-0 (5/1)
  
  Crystal Palace v West Ham
  It's been a rough old week for Palace, so it's just as well they're only up against a West Ham side who looked pretty terrible against Spurs last time out. 6/4 on the home win looks great value, and you'd imagine it'd have been a fair bit shorter without all the upheaval. It's likely to be another low scorer though, so get on the under 1.5 at 13/8.
  Prediction: 1-0 (11/2)
  
  Southampton v West Brom
  Neither side were as terrible as expected on the opening weekend and will both fancy their chances of getting something here. Hard to see past the home win though, and at 10/11 that might be a decent acca pick. If you're after something a bit more dangerous, go for the Saints to win to nil at 21/10. Shane Long to score against his former club? He's 5/1 to get the first or 7/4 any time.
  Prediction: 2-0 (15/2)
  
  Swansea v Burnley
  Who else was surprised at how strong Swansea's starting eleven looked against United? I'm just talking on-paper here, nevermind the fact they actually went and won. So yeah, home win. It's 4/6 outright but you shouldn't have too much trouble with the -1 at 13/8 either. Sigurdsson all the way in the scorers, cracking value at 3/1 any time.
  Prediction: 3-1 (12/1)
  
  Everton v Arsenal 17:30
  A scraped win over Palace, a goalless draw at Besiktas midweek, can anyone else see a defeat coming? I'm not super confident but at 7/4 the home win might be worth a go. Saying that, the draw not only seems less risky, but is also a fair bit longer at 12/5. Hmmm. Lukaku (7/4) looks a good shout in the any times though.

  SUNDAY
  
  Hull v Stoke 13:30
  They got a good win at QPR last week and the KC is a bit of a fortress, can't argue with 6/4 on the Hull win. Don't expect to see too many goals, but with under 1.5 also 6/4 you're better off sticking with the match result market anyway. Nothing more to add.
  Prediction: 1-0 (5/1)
  
  Tottenham v QPR 13:30
  Spurs obviously, though maybe not to the extent of them being 4/9 favourites. It sounds about right in isolation, but is anyone really going to back the -1 at 5/4? Goals (or lack of) look a problem for both sides, so the home win to nil is probably the safest bet at 13/10. Adebayor's most likely, and he's 7/2 to get the first.

  Sunderland v Man Utd 16:00
  Haha, Man Utd. You sense though that much like last season they'll have more joy on the road than they will at home. Was still hoping for something a little longer than 8/11 on the away win, mind. Talk of handicaps is pushing it but 9/4 on 3.5+ match goals might just about be worth a punt. There's not much value about...
  Prediction: 1-2 (7/1)
  
  MONDAY
  
  Man City v Liverpool 20:00
  Bit early in the season for this sort of thing, isn't it? Going on performances from the opening weekend, City looked a lot more convincing than the Scousers and on paper at least had the tougher task. Home advantage for this one won't do them any harm either and if anything 5/6 on them getting the three points is generous. Hard to say how many they'll win by but one way or another we can expect goals. 3.5+ looks safe enough and 4.5 (7/2) isn't out of the question. More specifically, Dzeko's 11/8 any time. Get on it.

  Chamakh pulled one back for Palace, but if Stewart Downing scoring against you is unfortunate, letting Carlton Cole do the same is just careless.
  
  3-1 West Ham, and you can have 3/1 on them with a -1 handicap.
  
  Chelsea are ahead too. Took them a while but Diego Costa's broken the deadlock. 1-0 at Stamford Bridge, and it's 11/8 to stay that way.
