  hey, just wondering is anyone posting and not getting points added to their account...cz thats whats happening with me :(

  Your post has to be at least 140 characters to get a point,
  and you can only get 20 points in 24 hours,
  so either your posts haven't been enough characters or you've reached your limit for the day,

  What is the limit for the day? I haven't found an announcement or anything that says there is a limit... Although I'd imagine you would need a limit else people would sit on here 24/7 posting lol...

  jlf just told you the limit for a 24hr period, not a day, is 20 points. you also would know there was a limit if you had read either the "forum announcement" post or the "important threads" post in the free calls for posts section, i.e the very section this thread is in!

  both of those tell you how it all works and both mention that the limit for a 24hr period is 20 points, i honestly can not see how you missed them
  
  sorry if that sounds harsh but it's getting really annoying all the people asking questions that they could easily find the answer for themselves if they just looked or used the search function

I believe I said this before... if you dont feel like answering someones specific question because its annoying maybe the best thing to do would be for you not to answer the question and stick to posts that you like and wish to divulge in.... Sorry if that sounds harsh but it seems the best recommendation I can make to stop you being annoyed

  i'm not sure why you feel the need to comment, but as i've said before if people are not told to search before asking a question then they will not learn that they should be doing that.
  
  and no one forces me to reply, i choose too so as to try and help keep this forum free from spam, trolls and multiple posts etc...

  I signed up at 10pm yesterday, and have done no more than post on the forum (ie no pictures and no registrations etc.) yet my points are now at 53 (it would be 54 by the time this post has gone through I would have thought)...
  
  Surely in 2 days my capacity should be 40?

  It is! And you get double if you're a VIP. However, your post must be over 140 characters and not be spam or repeated copy/paste drivel. We've had a fair share of chancers on here and they get banned from having the privilege.

  Might just be me but i don't seem to be getting points either. Got an email today to say i had 10 points and to convert them but the link just gave me an error message.
