For me a few would have to be
Underrated
The Punisher (2004), this film got a lot of stick off some people but i thought it was an excellent action film and the best film made for the Punisher character so far.
Iron Man 2, mainly because of all the people that say it was a long Avengers trailer, which is blatantly not true, it probably mentions the Avengers for 5 mins if that in the whole runtime, it does include other Marvel characters but it's a shared Marvel film universe of course there will be characters popping up.
Cowboys and Aliens, this was slated but i really liked it, an entertaining sci fi film which had some very good actors in, don't get the hate for it.
Overrated
The Dark Knight, now there are some that will disagree with me on this but while i think it was good, i don't think it's half as good as some make it out to be, and i actually fine it kind or boring in parts when i rewatch it.
The Shining, i thought it was allright when i first watched it but on rewatch it's slightly annoying and way over simplified from how it could of been if it had of used more from the source material , and the character of shelly spends all her time screaming, anyone in a room with her for five minutes would want to kill her lol.
So anyone elses, or anybody just agree or disagree with some of my choices?

I still can't tell if it because of the hype surrounding it built it up to being something better and that I expected better, or if it was really just a bad film.I forgot about Avatar yeah i think that is very overrated too, i mean the story is basically a rip off and has no original elements in the plot they just stole big chunks of story from other films, just with overgrown smurfs done with fancy looking effects to cover it up, doesn`t hide it though, i don`t know how that made so much money.
I have to agree with the Dark Knight a bit, but thats the way films are going now, you can't just have heros and villians anymore, you have to know the deep dark and meaningful history as to why the hero is a hero and the villian is a villian, and this ruined the Batman series of films for me.

The Mist- A classic eerie made horror movie which more people definitely have to see.
Escape From New York- Some may disagree but i found it fantastic, one of my favorite Kurt Russell movie and quite underrated. Also don't watch the sequel.
Overrated Movies:
The Oceans Trilogy- Don't get me wrong they are pretty decent just tired of the constant unnecessary talk about these movies.
Avatar- The same reasons as posted above
Scarface- Not the greatest mafia movie ever as some people like to call it.

The Mist is an excellent horror film i looked forward to that before it's release because i read the story it was based on and it didn't disapoint, one of the best horror films i've seen for a long time.
Escape from New york i can't remember all that well.
As for the overrated, never seen the oceans trilogy, but totally agree on Avatar most overrated movie ever made.
Didn't really rate Scarface at all, but then gangster/mafia films aren't my thing.

Can i ask if you seen Avatar in the cinema or Imax because I didn't and im sure it would be 100% better in 3D with great visuals, to test this im going buy avatar when i get a 3D tv and compare the difference.
