  Just because it`s a travesty that no one started a thread for this earlier, i had to start one and include some of the funniest bits(truthfully i could have posted this in the TV or Film thread, but had to pick one so some of the clips will technically be from the tv show)
  But anyway had to start with this

  It has to be done, a Monty Python thread. Marvelous comedy. One of my personal favourites is the Fish Slapping Dance, 23 seconds of sillyness that just about sums Python up. Fantastic!

  Yeah that is definately one of the more random ones, truthfully i could have posted many different links in the first post just came across those partciular ones first, there are just so many classic moments from the Pythons it`s hard to narrow it down to a few select moments.

  The life of Brian is one of my favourite films, and by far my favourite comedy film. Consistently funny and very intelligent humor, a case in point being this:

  Yeah Life of Brian just never gets old no matter how many times you watch it (which is unusual, you can`t watch many comedy films as often as you can Life of Brian and it still be that funny) and you are right there the Pythons humour was always very intelligent even when it seemed to be silly.

  I don't think anyone else could pull off a lesson in Latin and make it enjoyable to watch.
  
  I think the reason i Still find The life of Brian enjoyable to watch is more that it's like catching up with an old friend than watching a movie. I appreciate the humour and the subtelty of how they set things up. I do still laugh though because it's always funny, even though i know what's coming, it's not reactional or purile comedy and i think that's why it endures.

  There is actually a film in development which is being directed by Terry Jones and starring the surviving members of Monty Python(basically everyone aside from Graham Chapman)

  It says it`s not technically a python film, but has Python sensibilities, but that`s close enough for me, if it can be even half as funny as the classic python films it should be good.
