  Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia has apologised for liking an Instagram post which called for manager Jose Mourinho to be sacked.
  
  The 33-year-old, who reports said had fallen out with Mourinho, returned to the team for Tuesday's 0-0 draw with Valencia in the Champions League.
  
  After the game, he liked a picture of himself which had the caption: "It's time for Mourinho to go."
  
  The Ecuadorian later wrote he liked the post "without reading the text".

  Mourinho's been charged by the FA with using abusive language after the Newcastle game, based on the opinion of a lip-reader.
  
  So this is why footballers always put their hand over their mouth when talking to each other.
  
  He has a few days to appeal and explain he was really singing the Fir Queue song, you know that classic Portuguese one.

  Can’t say I didn’t see it coming whether it was now or the end of the season just a little surprised really given that we have some nice fixtures coming up, thought he’d be given till at least March or April but was definitely needed.
  Poor style of play, not good enough league position and his ego was just annoying me over last month or so. Always me me me. I I I but nevertheless there were some (very few) good memories and I appreciate what he did.
  
  All I can say now is that the board and Ed Woodward need to get a good appointment now after 3 shit-shows
