  Im a massive united fan, but i doubt they'll make a massive challenge for it this year. I think top four yeah but definitely atleast another season away from. Pretty much what Scotty said, Praying De Gea doesn't leave, but agree definitely need atleast one cb, and I think another striker, who'll hit a minimum of 20 a season. I just think theres a few average/decent players just playing too much.
  
  I hope i'm wrong and united walk the league, break the 100 point mark and score 150. With De Gea being the first keeper to get a hatrick. Realistic? hehe

  Striker has, in my opinion, become a more urgent matter than CB right now. Rooney and Wilson is all we have as far as dedicated strikers go (Hernandez is not in the US tour squad so there's no way he's staying). The question is who? There's no real obvious candidate that is realistic apart from Lacazette but he's so unproven. I think we'll probably end up getting Kane for 50 odd million which would make me cry.

  rooney back in to where he belongs, schweinsteiger will do a better role obvs in that midfields and then wayne can get back to doing what he does best which is scoring goals and i reckon depay would link up well with him compared to rvp, whos form was shockings, Man united looking very very dangerous with these transfers

  Do you not reckon Cavani's the most likely?  Especially if Di Maria goes the other way.

  Gotta love how they say we will get this player and we will get that player.. then you got Real Madrid taking Man Utd's players when they choose :D:D:D
  But Man Utd do seem to enjoy paying over the odds... i mean lets again look at Rooney's 300k a week contract.. total joke.

  Na can't see it myself. From what i've read about Cavani he wants to be the main guy - biggest earner at the club and all that jazz - which he just isn't worth. In my opinion that is!

  As for Madrid "taking Man Utd's players when they choose" i'm going to answer that seriously because a lot of people seem to think this lately. Madrid have bought 4 players from us since 2004 - Beckham, RvN, Heinze and Ronaldo. Beckham we wanted rid of and he was even close to joining Barca before Madrid upped their bid. RvN we also wanted rid of after he fell out with Fergie. Heinze we also wanted rid of after he flirted with Liverpool. Ronaldo wanted out but we got a world record £80m in the process. And now we have de Gea who we are refusing to sell unless we get a world record fee for a GK or Ramos in exchange. That's hardly taking our players when they want now is it. :)

  Hearing this morning that you've met Benteke's release clause.  I'd say United seems a better fit for him than Liverpool but not sure if he's quite good enough.
  
  But then again, there's not hundreds of world class strikers out there these days, is there?

  I definitely think united need a striker, but, I can't mind who, someone mentioned the 4-3-3 system with depay and mata either side of rooney. To me that sounds like it could be a great forward line up. But no cover, Wilson, is either not good enough of not ready. Benteke, i think could work up top if they have those two crossing like crazy but i don't think they will, and don't think benteke will be good otherwise. Either ways the season can't come quick enough to see.
