MAN UTD
StrumSolo > 15/08/2013, 16:33
In: Guillermo Varela (Penarol, £2.4m).
Retired: Paul Scholes.
Prediction: 3rd
It’s about time they signed someone, isn’t it? It doesn’t take an expert to see that reinforcements are needed in the middle of the park, but for all the talk of Thiago, then Fabregas, followed by Fellaini and Modric, nothing. The Wayne Rooney saga isn’t doing them any favours either. While he was hardly integral for them last season, they’d still be short in attack were he to go, and if Chelsea was the destination, they’d also be strengthening their main title rival. He might stay of course, but would he be happy?
Factor in the first change of manager in 27 years on top of all that, and it looks to me like they might have a tough time of it this coming season. Not a major collapse, but I think the title will prove to be out of reach. -

i think that like last season a lot will hinge on how well robin van persie will perform for them. his goals won them so many vital points, it will be interesting to see if he can do it again. -

Nigeria? Good, i've long since wondered how old Obafemi Martins actually is. It says 28 on Wikipedia, but he's having us on right? -

Still waiting for mine too... Maybe the bank holiday is holding things up?
I'm sure it's fine though, he seemed ever such a polite chap, and a prince too, obviously.
