Premier League vs Chelsea (H): 2-1
Games after the international break are never easy, especially if it's against a "Top 6" team but we passed this test with flying colours. Pre-match much of the discussions were around this being our first real test of the season and we showed in this game why we've been one of the best three teams in the world for the past decade. Benching Alexis and Lucho after their games in South America in midweek made sense. Up stepped Curtis and Cody into the starting line-up and the former grasped the opportunity with both hands, by earning our penalty in the first half and tucking away the match winner. Chelsea started brightly and took hold of the possession but could only force two shots on target in the entire match. Sadly Diogo went off injured, hopefully it's not too serious but Darwin filled in brilliantly and worked his socks off.

Champions League vs RB Liepzig (A): 0-1
On paper that was our toughest away game in this league stage, due to them being drawn from Pot One. We had to get stuck in at times to hold onto the three points and the clean sheet but we did it in the end. Ibou and Virgil were colossal at the back. Caoimhin had to pull off a few big saves. But we also forced our former keeper to pull off a few big ones too. Darwin took his goal like a real poacher and was unlucky not to have won a penalty.

Premier League vs Arsenal (A): 2-2
On paper, this is one of the toughest games we'll have this season and despite not playing at our best, we still came away with a point. Andy won't be happy with his role in the opener for them in terms of him not playing Saka offside and then allowing him to easily cut inside. Virgil pulled us right back into it. But we fell off a bit for the remainder of the first half and struggled to get our foot on the ball. Unsurprisingly they then took the lead from a set piece that was marginally onside just before the break. Arne did well to tweak our tactics at half time and we looked much the better team for the majority of the second half. Mo took his goal beautifully, with Trent and Darwin playing a key role in it's creation.

League Cup vs Brighton (A): 2-3
It was always going to be a tough game and it proved to be so, but in the end we got the victory. Cody took both his goals with aplomb and Luis provided the finish for the winning goal. Brighton to their credit put up a good fight and it was expected. Vito pulled off a couple of great saves and slightly deserved a clean sheet for the way he played.

Premier League vs Brighton (H): 2-1
There are no easy games in the league and today was further proof. We didn't get off to the best of starts on the first half. They had a few chances and had a couple. Retaining possession, winning the ball, competing for second balls, winning fifty-fifties and holding up the ball all seemed to be impossible for us. The end of the half was further compounded by the injury to Ibou. Joe took his place in the second half and stepped up when we needed him. Cody took his goal brilliantly and Mo further etched his name into folklore with another sublime finish.

Champions League vs Leverkusen (H): 4-0
When the draw was made this was always going to be one of our hardest games in the league stage. And in the first half it proved to be so. Leverkusen were hard to break down, our first touch and final ball needed to be sharper. We started the second half with those exact improvements. Curtis' assist for Luis' first was equally just as beautiful as the finish. Mo's cross for Cody was inch perfect. Luis took his second and third with ease.

Premier League vs Villa (H): 2-0
It wasn't as easy or as straightforward as the score line suggests, Villa put up a good fight and weren't easy for us to break down. Darwin took his chance on the counter with aplomb. He had a couple other chances that he could've buried to earn a hat-trick. Caoimhin pulled off a couple strong saves. Mo does what he always does. Only downside was Trent coming off early due to injury, hopefully it's not serious.

Do I think refs are purposefully awful at the their jobs, no. But I do think they all have some degree of unconscious bias, which every human ever has had and ever will have. What baffles me it that someone in such a position would openly record something so xenophobic and throw their career away so easily. I would hope that they'd be a root and branch review of the PGMOL but to be honest Coote will just be discarded as a bad apple and everything will continue as normal.

Premier League vs Southampton (A): 2-3
I don't think there is a player on the planet, in more form at the moment, than Mo Salah. He's on fire and simply unstoppable. It wasn't an easy game, as is the case with the Premier League. Despite Southampton's league standing they looked bright until we took the lead. How the ref and VAR thought Andy's foul was in the box I'll never know. I guess Coote isn't the only person within the PGMOL that hates us. But we were responsible for own own mistakes throughout the game due to our own sloppiness. The Luis and Alexis subs helped us break down their stubborn defence.

Champions League vs Real Madrid (H):2-0
What a result and performance. Off the ball we were immense in our ability to regain the ball. On the ball we were smooth and fluid. Alexis took his goal deftly and Cody's was forceful. Only downside was Andy conceding the penalty but Caoimhin stepped up when we needed him to, as he always does. We limited them to so few chances and were slightly unlucky not to get a couple more ourselves.

Everyone was boss.
