Our pre-season kicks off tomorrow against our mortal enemies and biggest rivals. Despite the slight disappointment of not winning the quadruple last season, I'm still relatively confident that we can win the quintuple this season LOL. Losing Mane, Origi and Minamino is a slight blow, but the additions of Nunez, Carvalho and Ramsey gives us a bit of fresh new blood into our experienced squad. Ward has taken over the transfer reigns from Edwards so effortlessly. Getting Salah to extend his contract was a massive statement of intent. The completion of the new Anfield Road stand for the start of next season, that'll increase our capacity to 61,000 will make it an even more intimidating venue for our opposition. But the most important thing we did last season was giving Klopp a contract until 2026. So with a bit of luck, he'll continue to guide us to winning many more incredible games all over England and Europe, and hopefully several more trophy wins. -

Pre-season vs Man Utd (N) - 0-4
The main thing about pre-season is building up our match fitness, but that was a disappointing result. The score line flattered them. We hit the woodwork three times. We played 32 different players during the match, as Klopp switched our entire outfield line up every half hour, and changed our goalkeepers at halftime. In terms of performances Elliott, Diaz, Milner, Jones, Ox, Trent, Mo, Nunez and Carvalho looked really bright. -

Pre-season vs Crystal Palace (N) - 2-0
Another decent run out to build up our fitness. Hendo took his goal well, I liked the build up play from Milner and Elliott. Salah's goal was fortunate due to a goal keeping error but the link up play between Mo and Trent was good. It's unfortunate that Ox got added to our list of injured players along with Alisson and Jota. -

Pre-season vs RB Leipzig (N) - 5-0
Darwin Nunez will have got a massive confidence boost from scoring four times. It was a pretty intense match at the start. Salah looks really sharp and took his goal well. I was really impressed with our young players like Jones, Elliott, Carvalho and Bajcetic. -

Funny how some fans were trying to write off Darwin Nunez after some pre match footage, and one miss in a preseason game. He gonna be solid for Liverpool in the up coming season. If i was a betting man, i would put a cheeky bet on him to be top scorer with the service he would be getting at Liverpool -

Haaland, Kane and Salah will be the front runners for the Golden Boot, but sticking a cheeky tenner on Nunez isn't a bad idea SirWanksALot86. I understand what you mean modern discourse within mainstream newspaper, radio, TV, online and fan-channel football platforms can be overly critical and hyperbolic. Prior to us buying him, the first time I ever saw Nunez play was in last season's matches versus us in the Champions League for Benfica and he really impressed me with his work ethic, shooting, pace, strength, off the ball runs. With a bit of luck, I hope he'll be as good as Fowler, Owen, Torres and Suarez were. -

Its hard to judge how well players will adapt to playing in the premier league when they come from the Portuguese League and Dutch league. But i think Nunez is the real deal, especially if he lives up to his decent season last season for Benfica.
I think as Nunez is a more out and out goal scorer so that was my thinking Liverpool will be less reliant on goals from Salah on the wing. But who knows adding Nunez could lead to 5-0 thrashings each week lol with both Salah and Nunez on the score sheet -

Nunez will take some time to adapt to the Premier League and to how to play under Klopp in this Liverpool team, but I think he has the raw attributes to make an impact. As long as he puts in a shift, which he appears to be more than willing to do, then the fans will give him their full support. Having other South American players in the squad will help him settle in quickly off the pitch and on the pitch too. With a bit of luck, having a strike force of Nunez, Salah, Diaz, Jota and Firmino will lead to thirty-eight 5-0 wins in the league this season LOL. -

Pre-season vs RB Salzburg (N) - 0-1
Disappointing result but it was the highly competitive type of game we needed before facing Man City in the Community Shield. We played a pretty young team for the first sixty minutes and they put up a good fight. Credit to Salzburg for crafting a great goal. Over the course of the match we created enough chances but it was just one of those games where the luck just wasn't with us. Carvalho, Bajcetic, Nunez, Mabaya, Elliott and Jones all looked bright at the start. Our control of the match only increased once Thiago, Fabinho, Firmino, Salah, Diaz, Robbo, TAA and VVD came onto the pitch. Hopefully we've done enough to now pick up the first of our five trophies this season on Saturday LOL.
