Hey guys...sorry it's been a while!
Well what a season. The Premier League never fails to amaze and the 2018/2019 was no different. Watching the team week after week has been an adventure. Sure it would have been an even better one with a winning season in the league but what you can do. 7 costly draws which fans naively (myself included) wouldn't cause an issue have come back with a vengeance. But I can't complain too much. We weren't as strong against teams compared to last season but the team has improved and impressed massively. Alisson has looked shakey but then has shown talent to prove his massive price tag. 3 of the back 4 have been astounding. TAA and Robertson excelled in their positions and got the accolades they rightly deserved. The midfield has been a bit of a weakness, the continued reshuffle of players I think had an effect on that but they again performed when called upon. Keita has shown his class and Milner along with Henderson hav been a trojans when we've needed them most. And then the front 3.... quality. Class. Excellence. Sure Salah hasn't seemed himself but he's been there and Mane was simply incredible.
This has probably been the best Liverpool side I've seen. 2013/2014 was good but this team is quality. All we need is another solid CB to pair with VVD and a striker which can grab a goal or too when called upon and then we'll be golden.
Onward to Madrid. -

Still can't get my head around 97 points not being enough for a shiny trophy, probably never will.
Here's a question though; is it still a good season if Spurs beat you in Madrid? -

It's a joke and it makes me sick that 97 wasn't enough, hearing the stat that 97 wins you the league 117 out of 119 of the last seasons was awful hahaha.
We need a trophy, it's as simple as that. If we don't, I can see certain Liverpool fans blaming Klopp and wanting him out. If it is a win in Madrid then it's probably an 8/10 season if not then even though we've finished 2nd in the league it will have been not great. No FA Cup run wasn't an ideal thing but it allowed the players to rest enough for the league etc.
Hope, that's all we can do until June 1st and hope that by the end of the night it's a Liverpool win. -

Well...it wasn't pretty but the job is done. The illustrious number 6 has been achieved and I couldn't be happier! After how the league ended being so close to the title, this has definitely made up for it. Klopp finally has a trophy after all his hardwork and graft over the last few years (hopefully this now shuts up all the "pundits" on Sky and BT Sport) but what a feeling! -

Well done to Liverpool won't ever go down as a classic final but they did the job they went to the final to do and that was to win it! Can't wait for Man City fans to start a chant of "Champions of England you'll never sing that" and the response from Liverpool fans "Champions of Europe you'll never sing that" LOL Anyway need to come down off my coke binge sadly was in a glass with ice. -

Weird that the two teams in the final haven't won the league in decades. Garbage game but better team won. That is the pinnacle for this Liverpool team. Downhill from now unless they break the bank. -

If Man City sign Grealish and Kane it'll be hard to win the PL this season, but I've still got faith in Klopp and the squad to push them all the way. Having van Dijk, Gomez and Matip fit again is a massive boost considering that their long term injuries made our title chances falter after being in 1st place after 14 games last season. The bad run of results that followed were disappointing but the unbeaten run in our last 10 games that secured 3rd place in the Premier League and our spot in this season's Champions League showed that the squad will always fight to it's last breath, even if that means Alisson has to score a last minute winning goal LOL. Signing Konate is a huge boost to the depth of the squad, and relives the pressure on the 3 other centrebacks to quickly get back up to full match fitness. The addition of a new centre midfielder to replace the outgoing Gini Wijnaldum would be ideal before the transfer window closes. If the rumours of Shaqiri leaving the club is true, then a replacement attacker will be a priority too. Emerging talents like Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones will hopefully continue their progression and follow in the footsteps of Trent Alexander-Arnold, to become essential young members of our squad this season as well.
