Pre-season vs Athletico (H): 4-1
Rio is the future.
Pre-season vs Athletico (H): 3-2
Poetry in motion.
It was nice to be back home in our new kit. The first match we played a pretty youthful lineup in comparison to our second match. Both games really tested us in different ways. We look like were not only trying to maintain what we acheived last season but also exceed it. What ever happens at the end of this season, our journey along the way won't be boring.
Everyone was boss. -

Community Shield vs Palace (N): 2-2 (3-2 pens)
Some positives and some nagetives. First things first, it was disappoiinting to hear Palace fans booing during the minutes silence for Diogo and Andre, they're usually a pretty sound bunch of fans. Onto the match we started brightly and it was to see Florian assit Hugo for his debut goal. Jeremie shooting to score on his debut at twenty minutes and ywenty seconds was written in the stars. Taking the lead twice and not winning was disappointing. Virgil gave away a sloppy penalty and could've been sharper to react to Palace's second. Credit to Palace they stepped it up in the second half. The less said about our penalties, the better. And anyway, the team that wins the CCS really goes onto win the PL *wink*

Premier League vs Palace (H): 4-2
We never do things the easy way. But we got the three points and that's all that matters. It was an emotional night for a multitude of reasons and most notably for Diogo and Andre. Credit to Bournemouth fans for impecably observing the minutes silence. That idiot that racially abused Semenyo needs to back from all football grounds for life. Now onto the football. Hugo looks like a superstar in the making, he took his goal beautifully. Cody consistantly turns up with a goal when needed. We should've done better to stop Semenyo from scoring twice but he is a quality player. Fede you are a icon with a legendary song. Mo scoring on the opening day of the season is a formaility.

It goes Boss, Sound, Decent and then Ye Messin. I got it from The Redmen TV youtube channel. It's a shame Saskia isn't on here any more, I would've loved to have heard her current thoughts about the our club.

Premier League vs Newcastle (A): 2-3
Can we please just win a game comfortably LOOOOOL. We were cruising 2-0 up against ten men and still needed a last minute winner. After all the drama of this transfer window, it was inevitable that it was going to be a hostile atmosphere and we did well to withstand the pressure in the opening half hour. Ryan took his goal with aplomb after his first game back after the birth of his new baby. Hugo continues to light up our squad and put us two up. A couple lapses at set pieces got them back into it. And then up steps Rio to get us the three points. I don't think he's even taken his GCSEs yet but we've got another teenage sensation to follow in the footsteps of Owen, Gerrard, Sterling and Fowler.

Premier League vs Arsenal (H): 1-0
Prior to our game one of our potential title rivals in Man City lost their second game in three. So the chance to place a marker by beating our other title rival was there for the taking and we took it. That wasn't easy or pretty but we got the three points and that's all that matters. Their biggest threat was from set-pieces and we stood up to the challenge. Our defence has come in for some relatively undeserved criticism so far this season and they were all outstanding. Dominik's free kick ability has always been waiting to grace the The Kop and he stepped up at the perfect time.

Summer 2025 transfer window
This might be the greatest, or at least amongst the greatest transfer windows of any club in English football history. Slight disappointment with Guehi's transfer being pulled at the last minute by Palace, but we've got four centrebacks already and we can always go back for him in January or next summer. Breaking the transfer record for the hottest young prospect in German football was one thing, but doing it again for one of the top two strikers in the league is phenomenal. Not only have our buys been good, but our sales have been almost on par, where despite us spending almost half a billion, we've recouped about a quarter of a billion. This has set us on a good footing where we don't need to make any more major overhauls for maybe another decade. From now on it'll be just a couple of ins and outs each season.
Ins: £407m
Wirtz
Isak
Ekitike
Frimpong
Kerkez
Pesci
Leoni
Woodman
Outs: £260m
Elliott
Diaz
Nunez
Kelleher
TAA
Quansah
Doak
Morton
Phillips
Net spend: £147m -

Premier League vs Burnley (A): 0-1
Four wins out of four, and all of them have been late winners. It was never going to be easy or straightforward due to Burnley's style of play and it being after an international break. But we stuck at it and Mo buried his penalty. Credit to Arne for his substitutions, they all gave us a much needed dose of pace and urgency.

Champions League vs Atletico (H): 3-2
Ooops we did it again. Our ability to keep fighting until the end is why we've been amongst the best teams in the world. We got off to a lightning start with Andy expertly guiding Mo's freekick into the net. Mo quickly doubled our lead with a deft finish. Credit to them for not letting their heads drop but their first goal should've been ruled offside and they were slightly fortunate with the deflection for their equalizer. But to be honest it was never going to be easy versus a Simeone side. It was funny seeing him sent off though. And when most teams would think that all hope was lost, we did what we've become accustomed to by grabbing a late winner. Up stepped Virgil. Oh I almost forgot that Britain's record signing made his debut for us tonight. Welcome to Anfield Alexander.
