I've been hearing a lot about Listerine over the past few days and it appears it wasn't originally intended to be mouthwash at all. It was originally marketed as a generic household cleaner and disinfectant. College Humor created this video detailing how the Listerine brand actually coined the medical term halitosis to scare customers into gargling everyday.
