  There's apparently some suspicions behind the voting for Messi for the Ballon d'Or this year. Apparently the players that voted for Ronaldo had their votes changed to Messi when it was revealed who they actually voted for. Corrupt FIFA? Wouldnt put it past them. CUNTS

  On the topic of if Messi or Ronaldo should have won the award, Mourinho's arguement about this was sort of fair and made sense. However I think Messi should have won it, by becoming Barca's all time top scorer and for most goals scored per calender year. That's an amazing achievement.

  best team of last season = madrid = la liga trophy. a TROPHY, i.e. a TEAM award, because they were the best TEAM.
  
  best PLAYER of 2012 = messi = ballon d'or, an INDVIDUAL award, because he is the best INDIVIDUAL.

  I just booked a trip to Barcelona for the end of the month and have tickets to see Barca v Osasuna, so hopefully will have the pleasure of seeing Messi play live.
