  They've given all the variants Greek alphabet names. Calling it the Delta variant now.

  Ha ha. I heard it called 'DELTA' tonight for the first time. it was not 'virus formerly known as , , , ,, but it was 'DELTA VIRUS FIRST IDENTIFIED IN INDIA' so we can call it DELTA without it looking like we are blaming anybody. well. except maybe those Greeks. or maybe Steven Seagal although maybe his movies will get some free publicity.

  Finally something i agree about with the UK governments COVID 19 stance.
  We have 'people testing positive' up 17% on last week
  we have 'Deaths within 28 days of a positive test' up 21 % on last week
  we have 'patients admitted to hospitals' up 11 % on last week.
  and the Government say ' now is not the time to bring in restrictions'. of course they are right. the time to bring in restrictions was 2 weeks ago.
