Steven Gerrard Steven Gerrard was born on May 30, 1980, in Whiston, Merseyside, England. He supported Liverpool FC from his childhood. A scout of Liverpool FC discovered Steven Gerrard when he was only 8 years of age. Since then, he has trained with the club and played in junior levels until he signed with the club at pro level when he was 17 years old.
The year 2000-2001 proved to the best season at the starting of his career. Gerrard scored a memorable goal that season against Manchester United. That year, the FA Cup, the League Cup and even the UEFA Cup were won by Liverpool FC.
Following a good career, Steven Gerrard was made the Liverpool captain in 2003. He also got offers to become the captain for the England national football team.
As the captain of Liverpool FC, Gerrard had a flourishing
career. He won more than 300 matches as captain by 2008 and grabbed nearly 50 wins outside the country. Steven Gerrard also received offers to join other clubs but he wanted to be known as the captain of Liverpool FC.

Eh? It's got feck all to do with Giggs or watching other teams. I just pointed out that Gerrard is hardly "Mr Loyal" as he wanted out when Chelsea originally came calling and only stayed because of an increase in wages. If you want a loyal Liverpool player a better example would be Carragher -

What's your problem? He thought about leaving, but in the end, stayed at Liverpool. Did beckham and ronaldo stay loyal to newton heath fc? How many born and bred Salfordians greats have you had in recent years? I can only think of one.
P.S. I'm not a Gooner, but Wilshere has all the makings of a future Steven Gerrard. -

Why are you bringing United into it? This has nothing to do with United! Though to answer your question, Beckham was forced out by Fergie, he didn't want to go. He was and still is loyal and as for Ronaldo, well obviously he wasn't loyal.
Loyalty is very rare in football, Gerrard unfortunately is not at the level of the likes of Carragher, Neville, Scholes, Giggs etc because of the Chelsea fiasco -

To be fair the loyalty was alot easier for giggs, neville and Scholes when your winning that many trophies. It would be interesting to see if it would have been testing if man utd had a long baron spell. Also not sure how loyal giggs is when he fucked his brothers wife? -

They could have easily left in 05 when we were on the verge of dropping into mediocrity in fairness. As for your last point, we're talking about loyalty in football
