  the thing is they wont, as like with many big games it has loads of fanboys who will buy it and tell anyone they can that it's the best game that's ever been made even if they turned it into a farmville clone lol

  Well for me personally then if i was to hear for certain when it's released that they have made it even more realistic, i know for a fact that i wouldn't buy it new, at best i'd probably wait till it was alot cheaper,
  for me San andreas has been the best one in the series so far.

  unless i'm given a promo copy or something i probably won't get it at all, as if you take the story out of it it, as lets face it the "story" in a gta game is never great and more often than not just gets in the way, then i can't see it being any better than the last game and i wasn't a big fan of that one either

  See that's something that never became a problem for me until they started making it more realistic, the story, because in the old ones the story was just a background to let you have fun, shoot some people, drive like a maniac etc, but with making the game more realistic they also make it more story driven, so any problems with the story show up more.

  In my opinion GTA is much better as it has stayed true and realistic where as saints row has become more of a joke game so therefore i am goin with GTA as GTA v is coming out soon and that will be great !

  See that's the thing though GTA was never true and realistic before, the first ones were top down view mental driving games which had little story and basically had lots of rampages in them and they were fun, the later ones GTA 3/vice city/san andreas while they did have a story still had the madness and mayhem, if anything with switching to almost total realism the newer GTA games are less like the classic ones than the Saints row games are.

  exactly, you have to go by what the majority of games in a series were like, and as far as GTA goes by far the majority of games have been less realistic and far more focussed on fun, mindless violence, car chases etc... it's only really two games, unless you count the expansions, that have been anything like realistic.
  
  so actually saints row is the game which has "stayed" more closely to what it started as, GTA is getting further and further away with every game, in fact the way they're going with them it'll only be about another 3 games before it becomes a freaking fps

  Yeah exactly, i don't have a problem with putting more story in but they have to have a balance of that while still including the mad aspects, and i think that San Andreas acheived that without going to far into being a fps which it looks like it's doing with the next one.

  maybe i'll wait a few weeks after release when rockstar realise that they fcked up the fun aspect and reduce the price!

  i think as always, we'll just have to wait and see when it comes out, as the number of games that were rubbish in development and then great when released is stupid.
  
  however if a game is bad in development it doesn't look good for a game as they don't always change it and you just end up with a crap game
