Granny who lost £300k to THREE online scammers warns people off online dating
An Australian granny has lost nearly £300k to THREE online scammers and is now warning people about the dangers of online dating. This dozy cow, who goes by the name of Suzie said she was 'gullible' and was 'brainwashed' into handing over her hard-earned money to three seperate dudes.
The first guy Suzie met was an English guy called David Fisher. Apparently David romanced Suzie and gained access to her bank account so he could buy a laptop, but he ended up making off with £46k of Suzies inheritance money which was left to her by her dad. The next guy was Johnson Williams, who told Suzie he was a soldier who fought the Taliban. But it wasn't long before Johnson starting asking for money. He guilt-tripped Suzie into selling her house so she could give him more money. She said: Quote:I went along with it because I thought, 'Wow, I've actually got somebody in my life now, and I'm committed to this man'. Obviously he was just another scammer and a little digging found that Johnson had at least five other women on the go who were all sending him money, that he later wired to Ghana. In total, Johnson milked Suzie for a whopping £165k. Ouch! Clearly not someone who learns from her mistakes, Suzie then met Godfrey Kyzungo, from Uganda, on Facebook. Suzie thought she'd do the "smart" thing and meet Godfrey face-to-face before handing over any money, and when he proposed after only a few months she thought it was the real deal. She said: Quote:I had nothing to lose. Godfrey loved me no matter whether I had money or not. But it wasn't long before he started to ask for money. I don't want to use the word 'scam' with it, but I believe that deep down in his heart, this is his motive, was to marry me and come to Australia. Suzie is now warning others about the dangers of looking for love online but she still hasn't given up hope of finding her soul mate one day. Maybe just stick to Tinder!
