okay at the moment trump has won nothing, yes i know we all think he will be prez but when it comes right down to it america is not actually a democracy. the pres is appointed by the electoral college ( look it up ) and they are under no obligations to give their votes to whoever won. or they can split their votes. e.g florida has 29 votes. it voted 51% trump and 49 hilary. they can actually award them all to hilary. ( although that would be a bit controversial ) or split them say. 15 for trump and 14 for hilary which would change the result. there already is a recount in wisconsin. the electoral college votes are in in december.
but... lets say trump wins ( it is likely ) there was some comment that he will make cheap things more expensive for poor people. i think there is a massive difference being poor in the states than here. poor unemployed people over there cannot afford to buy things anyway so they will be better off given a job . which also increases their own self esteem and general well being.you mentioned a guy from the 30's who was similar to trump. well another guy from the 30's who also vowed to spend money to improve americas infrastructure and create jobs was roosevelt ( franklin not teddy ) and a lot of people think he did an okay job for the poor. we really do not know which way trump is going to go. if he gets jobs for the american blue collar workers he will increase the confidence of the american workers. create a feel good factor and that s all good.
