  Horror films nowadays are a bit hit and miss, ay jesslloydfan. Take A christmas horror story. I watched approximatly half the film, got bored, fell asleep and woke up right at the end. I will revisit the film but it takes a bloody long time to properly get going. The characters in the wraparound stories of sorts are, for the most part, just talentless agrivating drips.Oh dear Mr Shatner, what kinda tosh are you having to resort to nowadays. On a positive note i have just seen two brilliant horrors called "The Stranger" and " Last Shift". Have posted seperate threads for them as they definatly deserve it.

  Tried revisiting ' A christmas horror story' this morning Jesslloydfan and once again it put me to sleep. Plodding, boring, uninteresting, drippy characters..a missed oportunity. Fingers crossed Krampus turns out better. i have just downloaded a horror called 'Berkshire County'. Had never heard of the film before, reviews have been pretty good and its been doing all sorts of good business at the horror conventions etc..will check it out at the earliest.

  I wasnt aware of this films existance before a couple of days ago but have decided to procure it annyways based on some largely positive reviews. The horror in question is called ' Tales of Halloween'. Seems kinda fitting considering the proximity to the day /event itself. From what i can gather its an anthology style film with 10 different tales by 10 different directors that overlap in some way. The face that Neil Marshall directed one of the segments alone warrants a look. Will review once watched.

  Not seen any of christmas horror story, so can't really comment on that one. I have seen Pernicious though (mentioned in a previouss post) and it was a bit crap, i managed to sit through it because the three lead girls were pretty hot but the film itself sucked.

  creepy doll movie, doesn't look particularly original but could be decent
  
  Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
  
  probably not going to be great, and probably not much of a horror either but for anyone who is interested in it
  
  Freaks of nature
  
  i'm not actually going to say anything about this one, just watch the trailer and see how insane it looks (technically more of a comedy horror)

  Thanks as always for the additional upcoming Horror movie titles, Jesslloydfan. Theres been a lot of chatter about that pride and prjudice and zombies. Will have to have a looksee at the trailer. I have checked out the Freaks of Nature trailer, looks pretty promising (and some early reviews have been positive as well..will have to check it out).

  That freaks of nature film looks like they couldn't figure out what story they wanted to tell so threw everything in there, looks interesting though. I did watch one of the films mentioned in a previous post on Halloween, 'Housebound' was actually really good i thought, a bit different, interesting story and one of the better recent horror/comedy films.

  Good call on Housebound, Jesslloydfan. A bit of a grower of a film. For me took a while to find itself but once it did, i thought it was hilarious. Thanks for the additional horror movie release trailers. Will give em a look.

  Yeah Housebound was a pleasant surprise, and now genuinely tempted to buy it to rewatch later (when Netflix inevitably remove it). Apparently an american film company (i forget which) has bought the story rights and are planning a remake though won't actually release the original (figure that logic out).

  New Zeland pulls off a successfull horror comedy which proves to be a hit with the fans and now an american film company are planning a remake..im shocked lol. Its bound to blow but we are bound to watch it anyways haha. WWhy cant the studios just leave things alone.
