  I did hear they were making a spin off from the Conjuring 2, which i actually haven't seen yet (but intend to watch on Sky Cinema now it's on there). They are definitely expanding that Conjuring universe they are creating, working out okay so far but hopefully they don't start doing spin offs from the spin offs as well or it could get a bit much.

  You havnt seen 'The Conjuring 2' yet, Jesslloydfan..just my opinion but when you decide to take the plunge, you are in for a treat. Also, you'll get to see what i mean by the creepy as hell nun. Im with you there, a couple of immediate spin offs are acceptable, just so long as the powers that be dont start taking the piss with them. Trouble is they are bound to so long as the readies keep rolling in.

  Not from lack of wanting to watch it, just never got around to watching it in the cinema and after a while i knew it would appear on Sky or Netflix or something soon. Going to be watching it soon, watched Insidious 3 the other day and that was good too.

  Really wasnt expecting this to be as good as it turned out to be. Watched a new horror the other day, simply titled 'The Void'. Has anyone else seen it? What did you think? Billed as a kinda 'Event Horizon meets Stranger Things meets Hellraiser', this is one batshit crazy horror film..and personally, i thouught it was bloody fantastic. Just when things seem linear, it all goes batshit mad again and again..this really is a big ol dose of insanity. A glourious throwback to 80's horrors of a simaler ilk with, seemingly for the most part, prectical effects rather than an over reliance on cgi..and its all the more effective for it (the monsters in the film are so well created they wouldnt look out of place in an 80's John Carpenter offering'. Horror fans..you need to check this one out.

  well that is one creepy looking movie good post gymadict, those people in those kkk outfits look scary as hell, looks like this movie might be good and im gona watch it

  Watched a pretty decent horror film the other day. "Killer Mermaids" It was russian, or something, eastern european anyway. Acting was kinda stilted, didn't help that they had a cast whose first language wasn't english acting entirely in english. Seen worse films though, but then i have watched some pretty crappy horror films.

  Killer Mermaids..was it actually any good, Jesslloydfan? Title alone and the fact its a foreign horror..sounds kinda bonkers (but in a good way). Here's hoping you did get around to checking out 'The Void', Dony. Got around to watching 'Get Out' the other day. Horror fans specifically would have had to be living under a rock to not be aware of the positive buzz surrounding the film. Watched it and, whilst many may not agree, i thought it was 'ok'. Went into into not expecting a gore fest, a supernatuural jump a thon or anything of the ilk. That said, i wasnt prepared for just how, well , averrage the film would be. Kinda plodding in places, fairly predictable. Comendable performances by the cast but the whole thing was just way to linear and predictable, coupled withthe relaxed pace, for my liking. When things do inevitably kick off..its all a bit late by then. Whilst i watched the film to its conclusion, i dont feel the need to ever watch it again.

  It's a decent film gymaddict, you could watch worse horror films but you could also watch better ones.
  Side note, actually got around to watching Conjuring 2 finally. Good film, i'd say it wasn't quite as creepy as the first one personally, though the Nun was creepy and will be interesting to see how that spin off works out. Probably not coincidentally, the sister of the actress who plays the main woman in Conjuring is playing the title role in the nun spin off.

  Cant recall her name for the life of me but isnt she the actress who appeared in the earlier seasons of 'American Horror Story'. Hope so as shes pretty fit. I really do need to rewatch the first conjuring film. Itsd no secret that i enjoyed the sequel, but, that said, the best bits usually involved that creepy arsed nun. Still contemplating going to see that particular spin off at the cinema (and possibly a change of drawers lol).

  From Blumhouse, who i think at this point make half the horror films released in the past few years. Happy Death Day,the story of a woman who lives her birthday and unfortunately for her the day she dies, over and over again. It's sort of like a horror Groundhog Day, so not the most original concept. But based on the trailer looks like it could be good (weird mask too, an angry twisted baby).
