  Thanks as always for the new horror release links, jesslloydfan. Will get round to checking the trailers out as soon as. Coming back to an earlier post where i mentioned that after seeing a highly informative list online of the most disturbing, twisted, sick horrors ever released. I mentioned that i located and downloaded one off the list called 'Headless'. Finally, earlier this week i got round to watching this and, well, what can i say except that movie is FUCKED UP..but in an entertaining way. Strictly for hardcore horror nuts only this is easily one of the most brutal horrors i have seen to date. Released only last year but styled to to look as though it was set and released in the 1970's, simplistic in its plot (disturbed guy wearing a skull mask kills and kills accompanied by both disturbing visions and a young boy also wearing a skull mask). This is not going to wins any awards for acting oor screenplay..ths is all about the shock. I didnt waver but i imagine many people would, its gory shock horror of the highest order. The only critiscism..its too damn short. Recommended, but with a degree of caution.

  Coming back to 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies', despite having it on the laptop for several weeks i have only just gotten around to sitting down and watching it today. Wasnt expecting a great deal but hey, it was trying something new with zombies so had to be worth a look (curiosity and all that). My verdict : Meh, its not all that. It tries to blackly comic horror and despite several attempts it never really gels. The violence is all pretty non graphic and besides that all you are left with is, well, pride and prejudice (personally i cant stand that shit). I gave the film a good crack (up to around the 45 minute mark) but had to turn it off, couldnt take any more. The one and only redeeming feature of the film..the impossibly fit Lily James. Mild spoiler but shes not tremendously popular with the males in this film in the early going, proof that this is a work of fiction because in real life (they must of been blind back then haha).

  Pride and prejudice and zombies never appealed to me, jamming zombies into a well known story doesn't make it a horror for me.
  I did watch "Hush" last night, i've posted the trailer previously (deaf mute woman terrorised by a psychopath). Was overall good, the lead woman was very good and for a change the person under attack wasn't a completely useless moron.

  That pride and prejudice and zombies was pretty pants, jesslloydfan. I have seen that hush on the download sites..may just have to give it a look. Last week I downloaded 'The Boy' starring Maggie from the walking dead. Based on the critical response I was hoping for something special. Unfortunately it just turned out to be decidedly average. Slow, not scary, very simplistic plot with a a finale that's just a bit 'oh ok, meh'. Still, at least Maggie looks fit in this. Beyond that can't really recommend the film.

  Thanks for posting these, Randy Marsh. I'm familiar with 'the boy' having watched it last weekend (average at best). I have seen 'the invitation' available online but something about it doesn't scream this begs to be watched. Could be wrong though, may wait for it to appear on the movie channels.

  I haven't seen any of them but are on my list. I especially want to see "Green Room". Synopsis: After witnessing a murder, a punk rock band is forced into a vicious fight for survival against a group of maniacal skinheads.

  That green room does sound kinda interesting. Assuming it has already been released i will have a look for it. Have just downloaded 2 horror films, 1 of which called simply 'Holidays' sounds interesting enough (its an anthology horror in the same vein as the abc's of death, Creepshow etc). This one puts a spuin on things with each segment based on a different holiday ie: christmas, valentines etc..Reviews seem to have been pretty positive. Also, i have downloaded 'The witch'. This is one that the critics have been raving about. Will hopefully get around to both asap but am trying to clear a back log of dilms at the moment, only so many hours in the day lol.

  Getting on recent horror movies watched, i did sit down and watch 2016's 'The Witch' the other day or, more specifically, watched some of. The film had received so much praise that it was a given when i saw it available on download that i was gonna plump for it. Aware that the film was meant to be a relativly slow burning psychological horror (with added witches) i went into this in that mindset. What followed was 45 minutes of utter boredom to start, followed by a half hour nap through thhe boredom bought about by the film and resumed for the last 15 minutes. My fam were watching the film as well. They were not impressed as they wanted to kill the film earlier but were not sure how and as such, were subjected to the whole 80+ minutes of utter boredom. According to them, the events in the last 10 minutes or so were the only note worthy events of the whole film. A real shame..had high hopes but the film is a real chore of a watch.

  Watched the psychological horror 'Emelie' with sunday lunch yeasterday (perfect sunday lunchtime fodder lol). Has anyone else seen it? What did you think? Downloaded the film purely based on the largely positive reviews it received, thought i would take a chance. Kinda glad i did as the film was actually pretty good. The film essentially tells of a female babysitter who is hired to look after 3 small children. Unknown to all, shes got a screw loose. What follows is a pretty slow build of a film to begin with with events she subjects the kids to (and eventually others) beoming more and more disturbing leading to the films finale. The film isnt without its plot holes but, despite that, this was actually a pretty solid, bitesize horror.
