  If you’re running out of TV shows to binge watch then Netflix’s upcoming new thriller series, The Stranger, might be a good contender.
  
   
  
  The mystery thriller stars Richard Armitage, Jennifer Saunders, Siobhan Finneran and Hannah John-Kamen and centres around a stranger making a claim about a man’s wife which leads to his life being left in tatters, and him on the hunt for answers. Check out the trailer:
  
   
  Well that looks pretty intense and right up my street. Roll on January 30th when The Stranger lands on Netflix!

  Do not watch this show. A steaming pile of bollocks. There were a couple of interesting opening episodes followed by boring nonsensical episodes with constant cliff hangers. The finale was the most unbelievable, incoherent pile of crap I have seen in years. 
  
  If you do watch it then please explain to me how her magic baseball cap allows her to disappear from human view.

  Hannah-John Kamen is a good start. She was great in Killjoys - although admittedly I do still need to finish the final season.
  
  I would also argue that the "most unbelievable, incoherent pile of crap I have seen in years" has already been won by 'The I-Land' and there is nothing out there that can be worse than it.

  I have to stand corrected there, thisscotsman. The I-Land was so dreadful I didn't make it past 5 minutes but The Stranger was worse for me as I was herded like a sheep by countless other friends who seemingly have no taste or sense into "sticking with it". The was just enough in it to possibly convince you that it was going to be good but by the time you reached it's very rushed ending you can easily look back and wonder what the fuck you were ever thinking.
  
  In short in only lost 5 minutes to the I-Land but a whole 6 hours to The Stranger.

  There was also one scene that deliberately misleads the viewer, not a red herring and outright lie that doesn't occur so that later on it can be seen as a twist? Fuck off!

  By only allowing yourself 5 minutes of the I-Land you don't allow yourself to experience the full awfulness.
  Someone added a trivia item on IMDB for the show saying 'Obviously the writers have no idea how to write' and I could not agree any more wholeheartedly.
  I am terrible for putting up with shit shows once I've started so if I start The Stranger I will have to finish it.
