The most recent film i and we (as a family) could not make it anywhere near the end of (50 minutes in to be pretty precise) was ' A prayer before dying'. Despite an interesting subject matter and all manner of professional critic praise, just found ourselves really bored by the who thing. Brit boxer banged up in a thai jail, not especially liked byy the locals, trains and partakes in muay thai boxing in order to try and regain his freedom. On paper, sounds like hard hitting stuff. Truth is, although can appreciate this is a true story, theres far too much of the boring, reptative stuff and pottering about between actual event scenes which made this a real chore to watch. Had to kill it prematurely through boredom.

The most recent film which the fam and i could not make it anywhere near the end of is titles 'Measure of a man'. The film, dirceted (son of Ken) Loach, based a novel of some description, deals with the exploits of an overweight teen during the course of 1 summer during the 1970's. Did we absolutely despise the film..of course not. Trouble is , whilst we like slow burning dramas, there has to be a hook of some description..something from the off to focus your interest. This was just dull, dull, dull with an incredibly obnoxious lead..gave this one 40 mnutes but just could not stomach any more.

The most recent film the fam and i could not make it anywhere near the end of was titled 'Patient Zero'. Starring Matt Smith and the actress who played Marjorie in 'Gamre of thrones', the film tells of an apocalyptic vision of the future where a rage type virus has all but wiped out/transformed the bulk of the population. Its up to Matt Smith (and his dodge american accent) to locate 'Patient Zero' and try and put a stop to things. The film so badly wants to join the ranks of, say, 28 days and 28 weeks later but fails to even come close. Dodgy american accents, lack of locations, repetative and more than a little dull (despite occassional spatterings of violence)...40 odd minutes in decided to give the rest of this one a miss
