Shame you coul not recall the name of that particularr anthology horror, Jesslloydfan. For the amount of those that have been churned out over the years, theres been oh so many duff attempts. Gotta agree ith you, Reedefox on your selection. Downsizing showed promise prior to Matt Damon leaving the facility, post procedure..after that the film died a death almost immediatly. Guardians 2 got a few things right for me..namely Drax's comedy relief and his awkwardness around Mantis. Asides from that, it wasn't nearly as strong as the 1st film..sequel managed to put me to sleep 20 minutes before the end. Cant speak for Jeepers 3 but have heard nothing but bad things.

The most recent film i couldn't make it anwhere near the end of is called 'Dear Dictator'. The film stars Michael Caine as a brutal dictator in some random far away land who winds up striking up a penpal relationship with an american rebelious punk teen..and subsequently, after getting run outta town, winds up heading stateside to stay with her. The film, suposedly funny turned out to be anything but. Given the classics that Michael Caine has turned out, this clearly taken up for a pay cheque, shit stain of a movie was as unfunny as they come. It was blatantly obvious which parts, we, the audience, are and were meant to laugh at . It's not that it was in poor taste..it was just unfunny and pointless. Killed it 50 minutes in (and that was being generous)..avoid.

The most recent film that the fam and i couldn.t make it anywhere near the end of was somewhat suprising (despite the critics not exactly loving the film anyways but seemed worth a pop) was the Christ Hemsworth war film '21 strong'. The film follows Chris's Captain and his squad who are the first to engage in the middle east following the 9/11 attacks. The film promises relentless action, massive set pieces etc..in the first hour its blatantly obvious this is 'The Chris Hemsworth Appreciation Show' and the rest of him team are simply there to wipe his ass lol. The biggest gripe, besides the iffy script and dialogue was that, despite promises made, inside of the first hour there was 1 brief skirmish and that was it. Just not enough to hold our interest, led to boredom and ultimatley the film being turned off. A shame as the potential was there.

The most recent film i couldn't make it anywhere near the end of was the christmas set home invasion comedy horror 'Better watch out'. Procured based purely on some positive online chatter / reviews..gotta ask those persons what the fuck were they smoking when watching this. Labelled 'a christmas set home invasion film with a twist' . Was really hoping the twist would turn out to be some festive characters gone bad..turns out it was nothing like that and subsequently a z list offering that managed to be unfunny and unscary. Made it to around the 50 minute mark before deciding life was too short and shutting off this sturgid turd.

The most recen film that i could not make it anywhhere near the end of was the drama 'The Last Movie Star'. Starring Burt Reynolds, the film tells of a now aged actor, no longer in the limelight given his glory days on the silver screen a distant memory, receives an invite to anaward ceremony celebrating him. I will admit, some of the scenes between him and Chevy Chase's character, as brief as they were, did raise a chuckle or 2. Trouble is, an hour in and i had just gotten bored. I dont mind slow burner dramas but this just did nothing for me (despite Reynolds seemingly trying his hardest to paint an effective portrayal of an actor fallen from grace and on a downward spioral owing to him no longer being all that relevent). Had to kill the film prematurely..have seen a lot worse but this certainly did not do nearly enough to keep me interested.
