  I think 'Brooklyn Nine Nine' is one of the best comedy shows of recent years, and i wasn't sure what to expect when i first saw the ads but it's a very funny show. And as plus i think it's already got a series 2 so two series is definite.

  Definitely my favourite at the moment.
  
  Though coming on directly after Big Bang and HIMYM doesn't hurt. An evening spent leafing through the complete and unabridged works of SuperPhilCool would be preferable to watching that piss.

  I ended up watching Brooklyn Nine Nine for the first time on a flight a few weeks ago. It was completely out of boredom as I'd not seen it before, just looking for something to watch, but I actually really liked it! Just need to catch up on all the episodes I missed now.

  started watching big bang theory I'm not normally one for these types of show but actually really liking it some proper funny scenes think i may start watching how i met your mother props start from the first series online

  Ive never found either funny, silly american 'humour'.
  
  Being English the comedy they have seems to me that im out the loop, a bit like family guy that jokes we dont get being in the uk.
  
  Il stick to our comedians where i understand the jokes about our country

  Scotty I agree when it comes to HiMYM, that has become excruciatingly unfunny now (only still watching it to see the end otherwise I would have given up), get more laughs in the first minute of Brooklyn Nine Nine than the whole recent series of HIMYM. Still like Big Bang Theory though.

  Tough choice both are real quality. Enjoy brooklyn nine nine aswell. Anyone else like it's always sunny in philadelphia, curb your enthusiasm or louie?

  It's too close to call laughs wise for me. Different type of laughs for each though really so best just watching both.

  Another funny show, although not new, is 'Parks and Recreation' they recently started showing it on bbc4 and originally watched it because there was nothing on, but it's actually pretty funny. The first series isn't quite as good as the one that follows but it improves in series 2 (not seen past that series yet).
