Plus the cheap effectd gave evil dead charm aswell, strip away all those elements and it'll just be a generic hollywood horror film with an overly cheerful ending.

exactly, you won't be able to tell it apart from all the other films were they go to a cabin in the woods, something happens and all but two people die and those two live happily ever after
