Performances don't matter, the only important thing is results and Southgate despite all his detractors, keeps getting to the latter stages of tournaments. All the penalties were expertly taken and credit to Pickford for his save. Saka and Bellingham have been the difference when it matters, and with a bit of luck they just need to do it for two more games. Konsa did well to fill in for another one of England's better players during this tournament, Guehi.

A couple of good points there

Spain were deserved winners, not only based on the way they played tonight but also the entire tournament. Credit to their manager and players. As for England, it was a tournament based on individual brilliance that just wasn't enough in the end.
